At the 2024 PGA Championship, Tiger Woods had yet another disappointing outing. After being unable to get good results in the 2024 Masters, fans were hopeful they would get to see Woods perform well in the PGA Championship. However, that did not happen.

In Round 1 of the competition, Woods scored +1 whereas Round 2 saw him score +6. Placed at T134, the 48-year-old will miss the cut at the 2024 PGA Championship.

In a media interaction after the second round, Woods addressed the same and mentioned he would keep fighting. He said:

"Just keep fighting. Keep the pedal on, keep fighting, keep grinding, keep working hard at posting the best score that I can possibly post today. That's all I can do. It's going to be a lot, but I'm going to fight until the end."

At the 2024 PGA Championship, Tiger Woods is not the only high-profile golfer to have missed the cut. Along with Woods, Wyndham Clark, Ludvig Aberg, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Tommy Fleetwood are all set to go home. It will be interesting to see how these players make a comeback in future events on the PGA Tour.

2021 was a hard year for Tiger Woods as he suffered through a major accident. After the accident, many doubted whether Woods would be able to return to professional golf. However, he did make a comeback. In December 2023 though, the pro golfer made a statement that he will be more focused on playing one tournament a month.

While he couldn't keep up to his word, it seems Tiger Woods is now taking it seriously. While he competed at the Masters in April and the PGA Championship in May, Woods mentioned he will compete at the US Open in June next. After Round 2 at the PGA Championship 2024, Woods said:

"Hopefully everything will somehow come together in my practice sessions at home and be ready for Pinehurst. ... I need to clean up my rounds. But also – physically, yes, I am better than I was a month ago. I still have more ways to go, lots of improvement to go physically, and hopefully my team and I can get that done pre-Pinehurst and going into it."
