Eight-time LPGA winner Nelly Korda will be in Malaysia after five years since 2017. She will be seen playing at the 2023 LPGA Maybank Championship at the Kuala Lumpur Country Club. She hopes to find glory this weekend before the upcoming season-ending tournaments in her hometown, Florida.

The former World No. 1 golfer, who had an injury-ridden year, managed to have a decently good time in the 2023 season.

Before the next LPGA Tour event in Malaysia, she spoke at a press conference and spoke about the lack of momentum this season.

BERNAMA.com quoted her as saying:

"I haven't really been able to gain any form or momentum (after the injury). I think the season has been up and down, there have been really good finishes. At the beginning of the year, golf felt really easy, but then I got injured and the momentum of my season really shifted."

Nelly Korda will also be playing at the CME Group Tour Championship in Florida from November 16 to 19.

The 25-year-old golfer shared that she is hoping to gain some momentum this week at the 2023 LPGA Maybank Championship.

Korda said:

"So, kind of a little bit disappointing obviously, but that's golf, right? You kind of have to ride the wave of it, got to put your head down, and sometimes work. I've been doing that, and I am hoping for a momentum shift going into this week."

Nelly Korda praised the warm and humid weather conditions of the Kuala Lumpur Country Club in Malaysia. She added that playing on the Bermuda grass always enticed her.
