October 1, 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of Grand Theft Auto 5's multiplayer mode, GTA Online. What's interesting is that the mode is still quite popular despite having been out for such a long time. Rockstar Games has dropped countless DLCs for the multiplayer, that too at regular intervals, introducing fresh content and activities to keep players engaged in their wait for a sequel.

The name Grand Theft Auto holds a lot of value. It is synonymous with high-quality gameplay, thanks to the series' many installments that are regarded highly within the gaming community. Even the most casual gamers are aware of the brand and know about GTA Online.
Additionally, Grand Theft Auto 5 is the best selling game in the series. In fact, it continues to sell well and is expected do so leading up to the GTA 6 release date. Many players who beat its story mode enter the multiplayer mode. They then have a decade's worth of content to go through, which keeps them engaged and the title popular among a new section of players.
2) Still the latest GTA game
Rockstar Games released the first GTA 6 trailer in December 2023 and confirmed its release year as 2025. However, Grand Theft Auto 5, and by extension GTA Online, will remain the latest title in the series until the much anticipated sequel comes out. Those who want to experience the latest action in the franchise will, therefore, have to pick up this game at the moment.
Furthermore, the content offered keeps players busy while they wait for GTA 6 trailer 2. It is rumored to arrive soon, but it should be noted that the title's release date is yet to be officially announced.

The latest piece of content added to GTA Online is the Cluckin Bell Farm Raid. This is the multiplayer's new heist and introduces six new story missions that players can either complete solo or in a group of four.
A new feature has also been added to the Salvage Yard business. It allows players to claim a Salvage Yard Robbery vehicle in GTA Online at a reduced price.
These additions are from The Chop Shop update's drip feed, which released in December 2023, but they still count as new content. More major DLCs are also expected to arrive before GTA 6 releases.
4) Fun gameplay
GTA Online offers a lot of freedom to players. They get to explore detailed open-world maps, participate in a variety of activities, drive fast cars and even fly jets. There are also many entertaining heists and missions to play.
While there are other open-world titles available in 2024, the quality of the Grand Theft Auto franchise is hard to match. Additionally, GTA Online allows players to have these experiences in a multiplayer environment with their friends.
