FiveM GTA 5 RP servers must remove real-life cars, according to the recent Community Pulse posted on October 13, 2023. Naturally, some fans have started to complain about this game decision. Some blame Rockstar Games since Cfx.re is now under their control. Others even go as far as to believe that some servers will now be dead.

It is worth noting that a few gamers understand the recent changes and support FiveM in implementing them.

This article will solely focus on the fans who won't be happy about the GTA 5 RP server rules, along with what else is significant about this Community Pulse.

FiveM GTA 5 RP servers must now remove real-life car models from their servers

Here is what titanium of the Cfx.re core team posted in the October 2023 Community Pulse regarding GTA 5 RP servers and their new rules:

"De-badging vehicles is a first good step but that alone does not mean your server is fully compliant with the PLA. You must fully remove all real-world vehicles from your server."

The latter half of the first passage says it all. There is no workaround. GTA 5 RP servers using FiveM must remove any real-world vehicle to comply with the new Platform License Agreement (PLA).

That's not all, for the following passages stated:

"We cannot allow custom assets or mods that infringe third-party intellectual property (IP). Real-world brands, unique vehicle designs, and 3D software models are generally protectable under trademark or copyright. If you use a real-world car model pulled from another game without permission, that could result in claims against your server by both the car company (brand, logo, car design) or the game developer (3D model)."

It is worth noting that FiveM GTA 5 RP servers are not supposed to import maps or assets from games other than Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, according to the latest October 2023 Comunity Pulse.

Most of the reactions tend to be negative, although they still vary in how extreme they can be. Some gamers plan to switch to RAGE Multiplayer, while others might quit Grand Theft Auto 5 altogether.

A few of the Tweets shown above criticize Rockstar Games, who the users perceive as the culprits behind this new decision to remove real-life cars from GTA 5 RP servers.

Some people would even like it if FiveM would pay for licensing. Whether these servers will die, as some Twitter users predict, is unknown at the moment.

Some people are disappointed that the servers might seem less realistic without the real-life cars. This can ruin immersion for them, which is often part of the joy of roleplaying in these types of games. It's common to see Twitter users speaking all doom and gloom for FiveM, usually stating that Rockstar Games have ruined them.

It is worth mentioning that some questions and answers are still being provided in the October 2023 Community Pulse, particularly when it comes to copyright concerns. Check that out if you need more specific answers.
