6 time Asian Games Kabaddi men’s gold medalists and current championsIndia will be grouped alongside Pakistan, Thailand and Bangladesh in Pool A in the upcoming 2014 Incheon Asian Games. Pool B consists of Iran, Japan, South Korea and Malaysia. India won its first gold medal back in Beijing in 1990 and has won every event since.
The women’s team that won the inaugural event back in Guangzhou 2010 beating runners up Thailand will be grouped with hosts South Korea andBangladesh in Pool A. Chinese Taipei, Japan, Iran and Thailand will form the women’s Pool B at the games.
The preliminaries will kick off from 28th September with the finals of both the men’s and women’s events to be held on 3rd October at the Songdo Global University Gymnasium in Incheon.
