Patna Pirates vs U Mumba Match Prediction: Who will win today's Pro Kabaddi 2017 match?

In the second last match of the second Inter-Zone Challenge Week in the Pro Kabaddi League, it will be a battle of the champions with the Patna Pirates locking horns against U Mumba at the Motilal Nehru School of Sports in Sonepat.

Both the teams yet again, are coming off contrasting results from their previous encounters, with the Patna Pirates settling for a draw against the Haryana Steelers last night while U Mumba scored a win over the Bengal Warriors in the Kolkata leg.

The Patna Pirates were surprisingly trailing in the match against Haryana before they bucked up and eventually settled for a tie, unlike expectations. Pardeep Narwal, the talismanic skipper notched up yet another Super-10 outing taking his tally to a total of 128 points in this season. Monu Goyat also played his part to perfection against the Steelers and picked up 11 points while raiding.

Probably, the only aspect where the Pirates need to focus on picking up more points when it comes to the defence. Vishal Mane, Sachin Shingade, Jaideep and Vijay will have to function as a cohesive unit to execute tackles in an increased frequency especially in the match today to stop the likes of Anup, Kashiling and Srikanth Jadhav.

U Mumba, on the other hand, have finally embarked on a winning run of sorts with three wins in the last three matches and will look to carry forth the momentum against the Patna Pirates. Anup Kumar, the key tactician has not only been performing in the attack but has also played a huge role in the defence executing ankle holds from the corner position. The attack of the Mumbai side has come to the fore in the last few matches with the likes of Kashi, Srikanth and Darshan performing well and even managing to score the one-off super raid which gives their team an edge over the opposition.

The defence manned by Kuldeep Singh, Hadi Oshtorak and Surinder Singh will have to work with precision, especially Surinder will have to be careful to not give away the easy points with silly advance tackle attempts against Pardeep.
