Kabaddi is a sport where everything can change in a just the flash of a second, the fast-paced nature of the game makes for an exciting, edge-of-the-seat thrillers. But who is responsible for these moments? Well, majorly it is the raiders who bring about the zing with their rampant attacking strides into the rival half.

Super-Raids are one thing where the player picks up 3 points in one go but Monster Raids are another level, wherein, the raiders absolutely demolish and most often wipe out the entire defence on the other shore.

#5: Ajay Kumar (Bengaluru Bulls)

The do-or-die specialist made his mark in the season with a magical monster raid against the Bengal Warriors at the start of the season. With the score pegged at 16-16 in the second half, the tall raider went in to attack and absolutely changed the scenario of the match when he made his way to the mid-line through a gap using his tall frame to effect despite his lower body being held onto a tackle by a host of defenders in the likes of Srikanth Tewthia, Rahul Kumar, Ran Singh and Maninder Singh.

#4: Nitin Rawal (Jaipur Pink Panthers)

In the match against Dabang Delhi, Nitin Rawal was the sole ranger remaining on the mat for the Jaipur Pink Panthers in the second half and the team was on the brink of a potential all-out, when the young gun pulled a rabbit out of the hat with an insane five-point raid which included a bonus point and 4 touch points. He escaped an ankle hold to dive towards the mid-line despite a host of defenders pouncing over him and extended his hand over the line in what was an exceptional display of skills and talent galore.

Rishank's brilliance came forth in the eliminator against Puneri Paltan on Monday night. In the 6th minute of the match, Rishank went in to raid with Nitin Tomar out on the bench and just three men manning the defence for Pune. He traversed the distance of the court initially offering himself as a bait to the defenders, which they eventually did fall for with Akshay Jadhav going in for a double ankle hold. But, the raider, ready in mind and matter plunged backwards towards the midline and put his hand over the line despite Girish Ernak and Monu trying their best to restrict him, thus giving away 5 points.

It was in the match against Puneri Paltan that Sukesh Hegde displayed his attacking best with a 6-point monster raid in a do-or-die situation, wiping out the rival defence in one shot. He started off with a hand touch on the corner defender, Sandeep Narwal, and then glided across to the midline using the lobbies, even as the other three defenders, Ravi Kumar, Monu and Dharmaraj Cheralathan tried to stop him in his tracks but were all too late given the agility and speed of the raider, thus leading to an all-out.

With every successive match, the talismanic raider gives a testament to his brilliance and he did so once again in the eliminator fixture against the Haryana Steelers with a massive eight-point raid. He managed to get past three pairs of defenders, bluffing them with his dubki attempts and striding his way to the midline with exceptional escaping skills, completely outclassing the Haryana team and even affecting the all-out in the process, thus setting a stellar record of 8 points in one single raid while going on to amass 34 raid points in total in that particular match.
