The Telugu Titans have got their second season of the Star Sports Pro Kabaddi campaign off to a great start, registering 5 wins out of 6 that has placed comfortably in the second position on the points table.

But, if there is one point of concern for the team, it is the form of their big players like Rahul Chaudhari, Deepak Nivas Hudda, Rajaguru Subramanian etc.

The Titans have substituted many of their players during the course of the games and the coach of the titans, spoke to Sportskeeda ahead of their match against Bengaluru Bulls on Friday night, saying that form has little bearing and players perform according to the opponent they are facing.

“Form doesn’t matter; all the players of our team are good. Anyone can play good any day. According to the opponent any individual can perform. Yesterday Rahul and Deepak failed and Sukesh and Prashant scored good points. Players perform according to the opponent.” Uday Kumar said.

“Some players score against some defence and other can score against some other defence. Every team is dependent on 2-3 players if they fail they don't have anything. In our case we have lots of good players. We are just preparing the best team for the semi-final.”

Good Players are waiting to replace out-of-form players: Udaya Kumar

He also told us the difficulty he faces while substituting a top player of the team, but he termed it as a necessary part of the game. He said that every player is waiting for their chance.

“In a big tournament like Star Sports Pro Kabaddi we have to play many matches. We need to play according to the team strategy and to give chances to new players too.” He continued.

“In the start when Rajaguru was out yesterday, the opponent does not have any left raiders. So, there was no need of any defender there that’s why we added an all-rounder T. Prasad at that place. Next time he will play with more confidence.”

“When Rahul Chaudhari was constantly failing, we had feels in a tournament lots of raiders who are setting on the bench. It’s not important for us to give chances and bring back the form of Rahul Chaudhari. If he performs than its ok either we will give chances to the other players.” Coach Udaya Kumar concluded.
