The England and Singapore teams receive their bronze and silver medals respectively, both teams played a hard-fought semi-final, both deserved a medal each, and now, the Indian team steps up onto the pedestal, and they receive their gold medals one by one! The flags are slowly hoisted, the Indian flag a notch above the British and Singapore ones, as the national anthem of India is played in the background!

The Indian team pose for photographs with the national flag! This has been a thoroughly dominant performance from them, not just in this tie, but throughout the whole tournament! They went behind in the second game today, the tie was levelled at 1 match apiece, but the fightback started off with Sathiyan Gnanasekaran fighting back in an epic way, using all his experience, defending the attacks from Pang, and once he went on the offence, Pang didn't know what hit him, and Gnanasekaran won three games in a row! Desai was on the backfoot on some occasions, but he fought back in an epic, epic manner and closed all his games out in sumptuous fashion, and India's Gold medal tally in the 2022 Commonwealth Games now go up from 3 to 5 in the space of a couple of hours!!!
