Randy can barely stand but he celebrates in the ring as this week's episode of SmackDown comes to an end. He will be facing Carmelo Hayes next week.

That was a close one. AJ lifts Randy and goes for the Styles Clash, but out of nowhere, Randy hits the RKO! This one is over!

Randy Orton defeats AJ Styles by pinfall

That was undoubtedly an RKO out of nowhere. The two men put on an excellent old-school match, though.

Orton is able to break it using a chin lock. Styles fights away, only to be hit with a powerslam! He kicks out rather quickly, and Orton is struggling. He hobbles to the ropes to try to Superplex AJ, but Styles slides down. He pays for it, though, as Orton finally hits the rope-draped DDT! Unfortunately, Orton is moving so slowly that he couldn't capitalize with a pin.

Randy manages to get to his feet, and he's channeling it. He drops down to his knees and pounds on the mat. He goes for the RKO, but Styles avoids it! AJ goes for the Phenomenal Forearm and hits it! One, two, NO! Orton grabs the ropes at the very last second!

Orton attempts his powerslam, but AJ holds onto the ropes and then cradles The Viper for two. Orton hits a European Uppercut that sends AJ to the apron. Orton is selling the knee heavily, or he's hurt. Regardless, Orton goes for AJ, and Styles rips his leg and whips it against the ropes! AJ goes for the Phenomenal Forearm from there, but Orton pushes Styles off the ropes.

Randy hobbles to the corner, and AJ again goes for the Calf Crusher, but Orton tries to counter it. It doesn't work, though; AJ locks it in!

We got the same preview from the last break for SmackDown as before. King and Queen of the Ring matches, plus Becky Lynch in action.

In the ring, AJ is continuing to work over Randy's leg. He goes to sit down on the leg, but Orton boots AJ and sends The Phenomenal One to the floor. This allows Randy to start to recover in the ring. Styles pulls himself together, but Orton boots him. Randy then hits the rope-draped DDT! No, AJ counters it and tries for the Calf Crusher, but Orton avoids it. The Viper then hits repeated clotheslines.

The crowd chants "one more time," and Orton gives them what they want before bowing to the fans who cheer for him and chant "Randy" loudly. Randy goes after AJ back in the ring, but Styles drops Orton onto the top buckle. He then targets AJ's knee, clipping it twice! Randy goes to the floor next to a fan dressed as Macho Man, which makes for a funny visual.

AJ charges and races, chop-blocking Orton's knee on the floor! The referee is furious, but this one will continue after presumably the final commercial break. Could Orton be injured?!

Back from the commercial and Orton hits repeated punches and a European uppercut to AJ. Styles then dodges a move and hits a dropkick and a sliding forearm. Orton goes to the floor and AJ is pumped up. Styles follows Randy, hitting a sliding knee on the apron. He then poses to the crowd before going out to the floor to meet The Viper.

Orton lures AJ in and kicks him before hitting a backdrop on the barrier. Next, Orton goes for a barricade-draped DDT, but Styles fights out of it. Styles jumps from the barricade to the table and then to Orton, but The Viper catches him! He hits a backdrop on the apron and then on the announcer's table!

The crowd singing Randy's theme, like the crowd in France, was nice. Hopefully, audiences in the U.S. can get some of that energy. They've been pretty good tonight.

The bell rings, and Orton almost immediately takes control. He quickly sends AJ Styles to the floor and poses as we go to another commercial break.

The crowd in Wilksbarre are singing Randy's theme, so it looks like this will be a thing moving forward.

This should be good. They're both pros.

It is notable that the big contract signing with Cody Rhodes will be in Jacksonville next week. Given Cody's history there with AEW, that's an interesting development. Randy Orton made his way to the ring to a big applause from the crowd.

Wade says both of these guys are favorites in the tournament and they pulled an unlucky straw by fighting first.

Back from break and it is revealed Cody Rhodes will have a contract signing with Logan Paul next week. Plus, Carmelo Hayes will battle either Randy Orton or AJ Styles and Tama Tonga will face whoever wins at a live event. Jade Cargill vs. Nia Jax and Bianca Belair vs. either Michin or Tiffany Stratton will take place too.

Next up, AJ Styles makes his way out to the ring. He will be going one-on-one with Randy Orton and that match will be next. It is also presumably the main event.

From there, we go to a commercial break.

Next up, we get a look at Blair Davenport! The former NXT and NXT UK star is on her way to SmackDown. She talks about being called egotistical and says it isn't fair. She then says winning isn't enough; she has to send a message. Blair says she looks for her opponent's fragile parts and breaks them. She then says she shows the world that their heroes are pathetic.

Blair says anybody can be respected, but she will be feared.

Next, Dawkins goes for a dive but Solo Sikoa gets on the apron. Dawkins slaps Solo down and Montez hits a dive on Loa and Solo! Dawkins hits a sky high on Tama for a two count, but gets distracted when Solo and Loa lay Montez out. Tama then hits a jumping flatliner in the ring and this one is over.

Tama Tonga defeats Angelo Dawkins via pinfall

Post-match, Solo picks Dawkins up and levels him with a Samoan Spike. Heyman looks on terrified.

The commentary says there is a rumor that Tama and Tanga haven't been signed to WWE because they are untrustworthy and crazy. Wade emphasizes they can't operate in a corporate company. Meanwhile, the match starts, and Tama immediately attacks Dawkins. He hits several big blows, but Dawkins starts coming back. He hits repeated big blows and a spinning back elbow! That levels Tama.

From there, he hits a spinning splash in the corner and a huge Pounce!

Back from break and we get a vignette for Andrade. He talks being a third generation luchador and says the era of Andrade has begun. Next, The Bloodline's Tama Tonga comes out with a special theme and a lot of pyro. He is joined by Solo Sikoa, Tonga Loa, and Paul Heyman.

Tama Tonga vs. Angelo Dawkins

This should be an interesting clash of styles.

Next, Angelo Dawkins is out to the ring. He comes with Montez Ford and B-Fab, although B-Fab goes to the back. Angelo is replacing Bobby Lashley who was injured during training.

Dawkins will fight Tama Tonga next!

Solo asks if Paul gave Jey Uso a look or signaled that Heyman needed help. Sikoa says Heyman is The Wise Man and trying to protect Roman and The Bloodline. He then asks if Paul has spoken to Roman. Heyman confirms he hasn't, and Solo reveals he has.

Sikoa claims Roman has put him in charge and that Paul Heyman is now Solo's Wiseman. A shocked Heyman is told to bring it in for a hug as Tama and Tanga look on menacingly. Wow!

Bianca Belair will face the winner of Michin vs. Tiffany Stratton. Next, we get a recap of The Bloodline from Backlash France and the debut of Tanga Loa.

From there, we see Tanga Loa, Tama Tonga, and Solo Sikoa backstage. Paul Heyman shows up and asks for a talk alone with Solo. Loud "we want Roman" chants can be heard interrupting the segment. Solo blames Paul Heyman for pulling Roman out of the draft and says Paul is trying to take money out of his pocket.

Loud "EST" chants as Candice tries to work over the leg. She kicks Candice off and then catches LeRae, hitting a fallaway slam. She tries to keep up but hurts her leg further. She lifts Candice for a suplex, but The Poison Pixie slides down and targets the knee.

She then hits a back senton. Candice goes for a lionsault, but Bianca catches her and hits the KOD. She isn't leaving unscathed, though.

Candice LeRae tries to jump Bianca early and Indi Hartwell tries to cheat, but Belair overcomes it. She hits several big blows in the corner but hurts her knee when doing a moonsault. Candice clips the leg and hits a big blow after! Indi had hit Bianca's leg earlier, so it is clearly bothering her.

Back from break and Bianca Belair will be going one-on-one with Candice LeRae. First, though, we get a vignette for Shinsuke nakamura. He says he's here to claim what is his, the pinnacle of SmackDown. He says now that he's on SmackDown, nobody is safe. He calls himself The Master Of Strong Style, which appears to be a new nickname for him.

Jade Cargill vs. Nia Jax has been confirmed for next week, that'll be huge. As Jade walks up the ramp, Bianca Belair makes her way out. The tag champions celebrate together on the ramp before Bianca heads to the ring. She'll be in action next.

Chelsea is flipping out ringside and takes her heels off. In the ring, Piper goes for the Vader Bomb but Jade is up and pulls her off the ropes. Jade hits a pump kick and then Jaded! What an incredible feat of strength! This one is over.

That was a fun one. Jade is really doing well.

Jade fires up and hits the Stinger Splash in the corner. She then hits a second one. Chelsea gets on the apron and is decked. Jade then goes for the Jaded, but Piper counters and hits a headlock. She splashes Jade in the corner and Piper then charges for a cannonball in the corner and hits it!

Cargill somehow kicks out at two, but this is a good one.

Piper pushes Jade around and then slaps her. She puts Cargill on the ropes and chokes her. When the referee scolds Piper, Chelsea slaps the Jade and gets boos from the crowd. Piper then hits a big slam on Jade. The crowd is supporting Jade as Piper hits a short arm clothesline on the champion. Piper then hits another one and Jade collapses ot the mat.

Piper is in control, but she goes for another and Cargill starts fighting back! Piper cuts it off with a headbutt and hits the ropes, but comes back and gets hit by a Blue Thunder Bomb! Wow! Unreal!

The two women lock up and there is a stalemate. They do it again and it is another stalemate. They start trash talking each other and Jade hits the rope for a shoulder block, but neither goes down. Piper then does the same and again neither woman goes down. They bicker more as the crowd chants for Jade. Cargill hits the ropes and Piper goes for a clothesline but misses and Jade knocks her down!

Piper then hits a back elbow and goes for a slam but Jade falls down and hits a superkick! Jade goes for the Scorpion Splash but Piper catches her, slams her, and hits a senton! Wow!

Next up, Jade Cargill is here! Her entrance is still great. She is also one-half of the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, but Bianca Belair isn't here with her. Then Piper Niven's music hits. She comes out alongside Chelsea.

This is the battle of two powerhouses.

After the break, we get the WrestleMania 41 commercial. From there, Byron Saxton is interviewing Randy Orton. He asks about AJ Styles and King of the Ring. Orton says he's done a lot, but he hasn't become King. He says he respects AJ, but it would feel Phenomenal to hit an RKO out of nowhere. He then addresses Tama Tonga. Orton gets worked up now.

He says Tama and The Bloodline took out his friend Kevin Owens and Orton will RKO Tama and promises revenge. Very cool.

Carmelo will face the winner of Randy Orton vs. AJ Styles.

Next, we see Kayla Braxton with Bayley. The WWE Women's Champion is interested in how far Jade Cargill will go, but she's interrupted by Chelsea Green and Piper Niven. Chelsea tells Bayley she forgot about Piper and there is a tense staredown between her and the Scottish star. Could a feud between Bayley and Piper be coming?

From there, we see Jade Cargill walking down the hall. She and Piper will clash next after the break.

Melo goes for Nothing But Net but misses. Corbin slams Hayes into the buckle, hits a vicious clothesline, and a cool cutter variation for a two-count. Baron goes for the End of Days, but Carmelo lands an inside cradle, and Melo gets a quick win! This one is over, but both guys look good.

Carmelo will now advance.

Back from the ad break and Baron is battling with Carmelo on the ropes. Baron strikes Carmelo repeatedly, but Melo gets away. He hits a springboard clothesline and gets a nearfall on Baron. He then dodges a deep six, but Baron hits a Death Valley Driver and a brainbuster! Melo kicks out but is placed on the ropes.

He fights though and hits the first 48! He then hits a big take down! Notably, the crowd was chanting for Corbin, which is a change.

Commentary emphasizes how Corbin reinvented himself and he then hit a fancy looking suplex to prove it. Baron gets a two count and Carmelo Hayes rolls out of the ring to the floor.

From there, we go to commercial break. So far so good.

Next up, Carmelo Hayes makes his entrance on SmackDown. He has one of the best themes today and he feels like a star. He is also very good as a heel. Very dislikable. WWE then promotes The Iron Claw on Max. That's funny for a lot of reasons.

Baron Corbin vs. Carmelo Hayes

This should be fun. Carmelo uses his speed to quickly get an advantage and he slaps Baron in the back of the head. This leads to Corbin leveling Carmelo with a punch. He then knocks Melo down again with more strikes.

Back from break and we get a vignette for DIY, who are coming to SmackDown. They made it clear they want the WWE Tag Team Titles.

From there, Baron Corbin is here! He still has his NXT look and theme. He is also high fiving fans, so he is fully babyface for sure. This should be interesting. How will fans take to him?

Corbin appears to be a babyface on the brand after that interaction. The two will fight one-on-one next.

From there, we go to a WWE Rivals ad and then a commercial break.

Nia Jax's win is a big one. She will face the winner of Jade Cargill vs. Piper Niven.

Backstage, Baron Corbin is seen with Byron Saxton. He is welcomed to the brand. Baron is asked about how he has changed and he says he had to figure a lot out and he has found himself. He says he's going to wreck the shop as him. Carmelo Hayes then interrupts. He congratulates Baron on being called up but takes a shot at where he was drafted.

Carmelo then says Baron should've been like Bobby Lashley and pulled out because Hayes is going to run circles around him.

Naomi goes again on the mat, but gets a powerbomb and a massive leg drop. Nia then hits her Bonzai Drop variation and this one is over. They had a great match, though.

Nia Jax defeats Naomi by pinfall

Nia falls to one knee after the Disaster Kick. Naomi goes again but Nia catches her. Naomi goes to the apron and hits that apron piledriver variation! From there, Naomi hits a split legged moonsault and this is ov- no! Nia kicks out at two. That's a surprise. Naomi hits Nia in the corner and attempts to put Jax up on the ropes. It takes a struggle, but she does it.

From there, Naomi climbs the ropes, but Nia hits a headbutt! Nia attempts a powerbomb off the ropes, but Naomi counters into a super rana! My god! Nia somehow kicks out at two. That was a crazy spot!

Back from the commercial and Nia has Naomi in a hold, but Naomi gets out. The Queen of Glow hits several strikes upon returning to her feet, but gets leveled by a headbutt. She poses as if she's putting on a crown and the crowd boos her loudly. Nia then heatbutts Naomi again, knocking her outside of the ring. Jax plays to the crowd and they are loudly booing her.

Naomi pulls herself back on the apron and hangs Nia on it. She goes for a sunset flip, but Nia doesn't go down. Jax goes to sit on Naomi, but she moves and Jax hits the mat hard! The crowd start cheering Naomi on and she fires up hitting several big blows. She attempts to whip Jax but its countered. Naomi hits a clothesline and Nia doesn't fall. Then a back elbow and Jax still stands. From there, Naomi hits a Disaster Kick!

Naomi and Nia are both technically part of the greater Bloodline, which is fun. An Uncle Howdy teaser interrupts with a QR code. Meanwhile, Naomi hits several big kicks and dodges an attack, which leads to Nia crashing into the ring post. Naomi does a dive and pushes Nia into the barricade. She clubs away, but it is futile, as Nia hits a big Samoan drop on the floor!

We then go to break again.

Back from break, Nia Jax makes her way to the ring as Alicia Taylor introduces her to the show. Taylor has been a part of NXT for many years and now works on SmackDown. This is her debut as a full-time announcer for the blue brand. Mike Rome will be on NXT going forward.

Naomi vs. Nia Jax

This is to advance in the Queen of the Ring tournament. Nia clobbers Naomi early, leveling the former SmackDown Women's Champion.

Naomi seems loved tonight. She makes her way to the ring before battling Nia Jax after the break.

From there, we get an ad for RAW. It promotes Becky Lynch in action and the continuation of both King and Queen of the Ring tournament matches.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton is with AJ Styles. Styles says he had Cody beat, but France did the singalongs and chants to distract him. AJ says it should be him facing Cody. Styles then promises that the next time they meet, he will beat him. AJ says he will earn a title shot, and winning the King of the Ring is a phenomenal step in the right direction.

From there, Naomi's music hits!

Cody Rhodes calls Logan dumb, but with more vulgar language. Cody implies he won't take anything away from Logan and goes over his accolades in and out of WWE. The American Nightmare then says since they're going over facts, the fact is Cody would become a Grand Slam Champion if he wins the United States Title.

Logan tries to talk and Cody pushes his hand down. Rhodes says he's not done. Cody says in addition to the positive things, Logan is disrespectful, self centered, delusional, and always uses brass knuckles. Cody says WWE is a team and in Saudi Arabia, Paul will find out where he stands on that team. Both men then hold their belts up.
