While the rematch against Nate Diaz was initially announced to headline UFC 200 and hit a snag when the Irishman refused to show up for media obligations, it would seem that the differences between the UFC and Conor McGregor have been resolved since then.
With the rematch confirmed to headline UFC 202 earlier today, all the hype surrounding a potential fight between McGregor and Mayweather can also die down now. Reports that Dana White’s meeting with Nate Diaz to get him to agree to a UFC 202 rematch with McGregor had not gone well, had also thrown the fight into jeopardy.
But with the official confirmation of the fight now, fans can breathe easy knowing that Nate Diaz has probably been compensated like many feel he deserves to be, and look forward to another record setting showdown between the two on August 20th .
