Jon Jones tweets-and-deletes UFC return details

In a brief tweet that he has since deleted, Jon Jones revealed that his first heavyweight title defense will go down on Nov. 9, 2024, at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

He added that the UFC 304 co-main event fight between Tom Aspinall and Curtis Blaydes will be for the official No. 1 contender's spot.

While Jones did not mention Stipe Miocic, it is clear from the champion's recent comments that he has not moved past that fight as many would like him to. His reveal came shortly after Aspinall accused Jones of "playing games" and holding the UFC heavyweight division up.

Ilia Topuria eyes biggest MMA fight ever against Conor McGregor

Ilia Topuria plans to fight Max Holloway next and after that, he wants the "biggest fight in MMA history" against Conor McGregor. He believes the fight will take place sometime next year in Spain at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, home of Real Madrid since 1947.

In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA, 'El Matador' said:

"I hope to defend the belt with Max Holloway and then I want to fight Conor McGregor. If he wins his upcoming fight, that's the fight I'm looking for."

"It's going to be the biggest fight in the MMA history... the biggest pay-per-view, the biggest everything. We are going to have 80,000 people watching the event in the arena... It's going to be in the [Santiago] Bernabeu."

While the UFC featherweight champion previously expressed interest in fighting Islam Makhachev eventually, he told Sportskeeda MMA that the lightweight titleholder is not currently on his list. Perhaps, in the future, if the Dagestani gets bigger as a draw and is still the champion, he would consider the UFC mega-fight.

Tyson Fury has an interesting approach to legacy

Tyson Fury will surely go down in history as one of the greatest ever to don a pair of gloves. But he does not care much about that status.

Ahead of the undisputed heavyweight title fight on Saturday, 'The Gypsy King' told Sports Illustrated that he boxes only for the paycheck.

"I'm not interested in anybody else. I don't want to be rated against anybody else. Going down in history is not very relevant to me. What happens in 60 years is none of my interest. What people say, think, or care about is none of my interest."

"I'm here to get paid, get laid, and get out of here. That's all I'm interested in. Providing for me family, paying me bills, looking after me wife, and having a nice peaceful life."

Fury fights Oleksandr Usyk on May 18 at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
