The UFC has just announced an exciting women's flyweight bout between two top-10 ranked contenders. Maycee Barber and Amanda Ribas will face each other in what promises to be an exciting fight in June.
The No.10-ranked Barber is a rising star in the promotion. At just 24 years old, she has already made a name for herself with a record of 12-2, including five knockout victories.
Ribas, on the other hand, is currently ranked No.9 in the women's flyweight division. The Brazilian is known for her impressive grappling skills, but her continually improving striking will test the high-level karate background of Barber.

Featherweight title unification fight scheduled to take place at UFC 290
Alexander Volkanovski and Yair Rodriguez are set to do battle at UFC 290 on July 8, as per a recent announcement. The bout will see the unification of the featherweight title, as Volkanovski looks to add a fifth title defense to his incredible championship run. 'El Pantera', the interim featherweight champion, will be hoping to become the third undisputed champion from Mexico in promotional history.
Both men appeared at the pay-per-view event in Perth, Australia earlier this year, where Volkanovski took on Islam Makhachev in his bid to become a two-division champion. 'The Great' almost realized his dream, but ultimately lost a highly competitive bout via unanimous decision.
Yair Rodriguez faced Josh Emmett in the co-main event, where 'El Pantera' secured the interim title with a superb triangle submission.
News of the featherweight title unification bout was announced by MMA journalist Ariel Helwani, who noted that that the fighters have verbally agreed to the contest:
"Alex Volkanovski x Yair Rodríguez is scheduled for UFC 290 on July 8, per sources. Not signed yet but everyone is on board. Featherweight title unification bout. TBD on what will serve as the main event for that card just yet."
