Chael Sonnen has admitted he doesn't want to see Tom Aspinall face Ciryl Gane at UFC 304 due to the risks involved.

Earlier this month it was confirmed that the UFC would be returning to England this summer for UFC 304. The event will take place in Manchester and will be hosted at the Co-op Live Arena. Whilst no bouts have officially been announced yet, it's expected both Tom Aspinall and Leon Edwards will defend their belts in front of their home fans.

In regards to a potential opponent for Aspinall, Gane has thrown his name into the mix. Aspinall, however, has disregarded facing the Frenchman after Gane declined to have a face-off with him last September in Paris.

Daniel Cormier and Chael Sonnen discussed the potential Aspinall vs. Gane bout on a recent episode of the Good Guy/Bad Guy show. While Cormier stated that he was open to seeing the fight, Sonnen wasn't so keen on the idea.

According to 'The American Gangster', the UFC runs a major risk of holding up the heavyweight division, if 'Bon Gamin' were to defeat Aspinall. He explained:

“I believe that the problem is if you do bring Ciryl back, if he wins, you put a belt around Ciryl. If Jon Jones is agreeable, you’re going to do a rematch between Jon Jones and Ciryl. I think that’s too tough after the performance that Ciryl gave (at UFC 285), or did not give. I just don’t think there’s any scenario where they re-do that match, and you would run into a big risk if you put the belt around him.” [H/t MMA Junkie]

Chael Sonnen enlightens fans after Eddie Hall breaks world record for punch force at UFC PI

Chael Sonnen has revealed he's not impressed with Eddie Hall after he set a new world record on the UFC Performance Institute's punch force machine.

In a video released earlier this week, Hall appeared at the UFC PI and scored a stunning 208,901 points on the machine, outscoring the likes of Francis Ngannou and Alex Pereira.

Sonnen, however, was less than impressed by Hall's record achievement and labeled the entire machine a "scam". Taking to X (Formerly Twitter), 'The American Gangster' tweeted:

"I thought the world knew this, but since there appears to still be a few out there who have yet to be 'smartened,' I'll fill you in... The whole thing is a scam. There is one sensor. The entire measurable count will be based upon where you hit in relation to the sensor."
