Dana White recently shed light on the possibility of a heavyweight super-fight between former champion Brock Lesnar and current champion Jon Jones.

Jones was recently crowned the king of the heavyweight division following a first-round submission victory over Ciryl Gane at UFC 285 last weekend. 'Bones' is likely to face Stipe Miocic next, as per White, with the bout being targeted for International Fight Week in July.

Despite the rumors of Jones' next opponent, reporter Justin Barrasso asked Dana White about the chances of 'Bones' facing Brock Lesnar in a super-fight during a recent interview.

The UFC president shut down any likelihood of the matchup coming to fruition and said:

"Brock and I have a great relationship, and we always have, but I don’t think Brock wants to fight any more. Brock’s made a lot of money. He came into the UFC and won the heavyweight title. He’s got nothing left to prove. I don’t think he’d want to do it."

Brock Lesnar burst onto the MMA scene with a TKO finish over Min Soo Kim at Dynamite!! USA before being signed by the UFC. He lost his promotional debut via submission to future heavyweight champion Frank Mir.

Lesnar became the biggest attraction in the sport shortly thereafter when he beat Heath Herring via unanimous decision to set up a heavyweight title clash against veteran Randy Couture. Lesnar won the bout via TKO to become the UFC heavyweight champion in just his fourth MMA fight.

Brock Lesnar defended the belt on two occasions before being defeated by Cain Velasquez at UFC 121. The former champion competed twice over the next six years before retiring from the sport in 2016.

Dana White believes Jon Jones would have beaten Francis Ngannou the same way he beat Ciryl Gane

Francis Ngannou parted ways with the UFC earlier this year after his management team could not come to an agreement with Dana White and the promotion's top brass over a new contract.

Talks of a super-fight between Jon Jones and Ngannou began to emerge following Jones announcing his move to heavyweight in 2020. But following Ngannou's departure, it was announced that 'Bones' would face Ciryl Gane for the vacant heavyweight title.

The bout took place at UFC 285 last weekend, where Jones secured a first-round submission victory.

Dana White was interviewed by TMZ Sports following the event, where he shared his thoughts on the possibility of Jon Jones vs. Francis Ngannou happening in the future:

"I tried to make [the Jones vs. Ngannou] fight for two years. And let me tell you what – a lot of people feel this way – I think that's exactly the way the fight would have gone if [Ngannou] was in there too."
