Dana White recently caused major shockwaves across the MMA community after a video surfaced showing him publicly slapping his wife during an intoxicated altercation between them on New Year's Eve. While social media was awash with differing opinions on the incident, many fans chose to defend the UFC supremo for his actions. However, MMA journalist Luke Thomas wasn't having any of it.

In a powerful monologue, Thomas sounded off on those who thought White's actions were justified and addressed young men who may be harboring misogynous feelings of hatred towards women. The seasoned MMA journalist emotionally explained how "bullies" have given in to the "lies" and said:

"Hating women is bulls**t... It's a lie... It's not just the Dana White situation, look at this news about Phil Baroni who has allegedly...been arrested for murdering his girlfriend and the alleged details are, he beat her to death... When you add that into what Dana did, into the defense of Dana... You are a bully who's in need of an easy win. Which is why you say what you say."

Dana White and his wife, Anne, have both issued separate statements about the incident. Both cited alcohol and intoxication as the prime reasons behind their behavior and claimed to have put the whole thing behind them.

Ariel Helwani condemns Dana White for the fracas with his wife

Another veteran journalist in the sport, Ariel Helwani, recently lambasted Dana White for his behavior on New Year's Eve. Helwani slammed the UFC president after footage emerged of him slapping his wife, Anne White, while the couple were vacationing in Cabo San Lucas.

White and Helwani's bitter relationship is well-known within MMA circles. The veteran journalist was once infamously removed from UFC 199 in 2016 after breaking the news that Brock Lesnar would return to the sport at UFC 200. This led the journalist to cry openly on his show, leading to Dana White later ridiculing Helwani for it.

On a recent episode of The MMA Hour, referencing White's taunts about Ariel Helwani's kids witnessing their father cry on TV, the journalist stated:

"What are your kids gonna say about you? What are your kids gonna say about your legacy? About the way you treat fighters? About the way you treat people? About your business practices? What are your kids gonna say about that video? What are your kids gonna say about the kind of person that you are?... Ask yourself that f**king question."
