"He's never making 155 again" - Dr. David Abbasi makes an observation about Conor McGregor's current physique

Conor McGregor has enjoyed the bulk of his mixed martial arts success in the lightweight and featherweight divisions. However, according to Dr. David Abbasi, his recent images suggest that he may never return to those weight classes again.

McGregor has not fought since his last bout against Dustin Poirier in July 2021. Consecutive losses to Poirier, along with a broken tibia, have kept him out of action. However, the Irishman has continued to post updates from his training as he prepares for a return to the octagon.

In a recent post, McGregor was pictured enjoying himself in Abu Dhabi alongside his fiancee Dee Devlin. He posted pictures of his getaway, including one of him posing at a McDonald's fast food outlet.

Dr. David Abbasi singled out the image and commented on the former double champion's new physique. He tweeted out that 'The Notorious' may never be able to cut down to 155lbs and fight in the lightweight division again:

"He’s never making 155 again. [thinking face emoji] #mcgregor #mcdonalds"

McGregor has put on considerable weight since his absence from the octagon and has expressed his intention to move up to welterweight on multiple occasions. His record in the division stands at 2-1, with a loss and a win coming against Nate Diaz and the other a Performance of the Night victory against Donald Cerrone.

Michael Chandler believes he is the biggest possible matchup for Conor McGregor

Popular lightweight contender Michael Chandler would like to face Conor McGregor upon his return to the UFC.

In an interview with Brett Okamoto of ESPN MMA, 'Iron' explained why he is the right opponent for Conor McGregor:

"If he does want to come back, who in the heck else do you want to be standing on the other side of the octagon than me right now at this juncture. We are the same size, we're the same weight."

Chandler also stated that a potential meeting between the two would be the biggest matchup possible:

"It's crazy the amount of buzz that is on me, my fight style, my fights every single time and the UFC knows it. I think Conor knows it. Conor's team knows it. The whole world of mixed martial arts knows it...Whenever he wants to come back and tell me who's a bigger draw or a bigger fight than me and Conor right now?"
