Joe Rogan recently expressed his fascination with Conor McGregor's ability to play mind games with his opponents. In a recent episode of his wildly popular podcast, the UFC color commentator analyzed McGregor's mastery at breaking his opponents mentally before a fight.

On a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast with guest Mark Boal, Rogan spoke about how much he admires McGregor's ability to rise to the occasion regardless of the pressure he's under:

"He's an extraordinary human being. That's a rare, one in 'X' amount of million kind of people that can do what he does, talk the kind of s**t he does and then get into an octagon and f**k people up... Control of the mind. Extraordinarily mentally."

Rogan further recalled Conor McGregor vs. Jose Aldo at UFC 194 to drive home his point. After tons of trash talk, 'The Notorious' broke Aldo's 10-year unbeaten streak, finishing the Brazilian icon in just 13 seconds to claim undisputed UFC featherweight gold. The popular comic added:

"He created the ultimate emotional pressure cooker. And Aldo is overwhelmed by the moment. And in those extreme moments of conflict... the kind of person like Conor McGregor who can rise to the occasion is truly an extraordinary person."

Conor McGregor has weaponized trash talk unlike any other UFC fighter previously. The Irish superstar repeatedly belittled his opponents leading up to fights and his mental warfare appeared to stagger quite a few of his opponents, forcing them to fight emotionally rather than tactically.

While McGregor's trash talk leading up to his grudge match with Khabib Nurmagomedov was dark and at times disturbing, he adopted a far more humerous approach during his rise in the featherweight division.

Conor McGregor lashes out at Joe Rogan for recent comments

Conor McGregor has been out of action since suffering a gruesome leg injury in his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier last year. The Irishman is now outside the USADA testing pool rehabilitating his injury and looks set to return to the octagon next year.

While outside the USADA testing pool, many have accused McGregor of finding a loophole in the drug-testing system that allows him to recover from injury faster than those inside the testing pool. Joe Rogan recently commented on the same, jokingly stating that the former two-division champion's urine "would melt that USADA cup."

Conor McGregor subsequently clapped back at Joe Rogan for his recent comments. 'The Notorious' took to Twitter to mock Rogan's prior combat sports experience and claimed that the longtime UFC commentator is far from clean himself.

However, it's worth nothing that Rogan has always been open about what supplements and treatments he undergoes, and is an outspoken advocate for hormone replacement therapy.
