Jon Jones has been the target of a lot of MMA trolls in the last 24 hours, after news of his injury broke. Chael Sonnen is one such fighter who took a shot at 'Bones,' a former opponent of Sonnen's.

For Sonnen, their bout was his third shot at the title and Jon Jones was looking to defend his belt for the 5th consecutive time. The fight was a one-sided affair as 'Bones' dominated the early exchanges with his ground and pound. However, in a recent tweet, the MMA analyst gave his thoughts on Jones getting injured:

"JONES Never the same since the big red "L" After I submitted him with the "Toe Breaker". Sonnen The "Linear Champion" Mail my belt back, "Nine Toe Jones"

Dana White confirms Jon Jones is out of UFC 295 and reveals the replacements for the fight

Jon Jones suffered an injury during training recently that will require him to undergo surgery and stay on the sidelines for around 8 months. The heavyweight champion of the world was set to fight Stipe Miocic in the main event of UFC 295, in what was termed the battle of the GOATs. However, since the fight is now officially off, Dana White announced the new main event:

"What's up everybody here we are again, you know Jon Jones was training last night, got injured, he was wrestling. And he tore the tendon that connects your pec to the bone, off the bone. Eight months, gonna need surgery, he's out. So, the main event is Prochazka vs Pereira. The co-main event now is Pavlovich vs Aspinall for the interim heavyweight championship."
