Michael Chandler is eager for Conor McGregor to begin the USADA testing process promptly, as he hopes to make the bout between them by the close of the year.

In a recent media interaction at the UFC 285 fight event, a journalist questioned Chandler about McGregor's absence from the USADA testing pool. In response, 'Iron' confirmed that he had asked his management to start pressuring McGregor to enter the testing pool.

The American fighter believes that if he and McGregor are scheduled to fight in September, the former champion should be in the testing pool as soon as possible. USADA testing is mandatory for all UFC fighters, and they must provide whereabouts information for out-of-competition testing.

The former Bellator champ said:

"I just asked my management today to, uh, just to start putting pressure and figure out... If we want to fight in September, he's [Conor McGregor] got to hop in the pool. That's just a simple fact of the matter. So you know we will, we will see."

McGregor's absence from the USADA testing pool has raised questions about his readiness for a potential fight in September or October. Chandler, who is looking to establish himself as a top contender in the lightweight division, is not willing to take any chances and wants McGregor to comply with the mandatory USADA testing requirements.

It remains to be seen whether McGregor will enter the USADA testing pool in time to fight Chandler sometime in September this year.

“I think it’s a tough fight for Michael [Chandler]. I don’t think it’s an easy fight but I hope Michael knock him out very bad. I never hope that to no one, you know, but I hope Michael gets a good win, you know. I don’t want to wish nothing bad for Conor, it is what it is. The guy is two-times champion, helped to change the sport, didn’t make the right choice sometimes but it is what it is. But I just hope Michael wins and I’m going to do everything in my power to help Michael to get the victory and I hope Michael gets the finish, you know.”
