UFC middleweights Paulo Costa and Sean Strickland's to-and-fro on Twitter took a hilarious turn when the Brazilian made an outrageous suggestion for a potential fight venue.

Costa initially proposed a fight against Strickland in Las Vegas on April 15 and used an edited, fattened picture of himself alongside one of Strickland's.

"Sir Could you fight me in april 15 Las Vegas ?"

Costa then suggested an alternate venue by naming former president Donald Trump's famous property Mar-a-Lago. Mar-a-Lago is a national historic landmark in Palm Beach, Florida, acquired by Trump in 1985. It currently houses a golf course and a resort with the Trump family maintaining residential quarters in a cordoned-off area of the property.

'Borrachinha' tweeted:

"Let’s fight at mar a lago dude. First ufc at trump house"

Donald Trump has a long-standing affiliation with the UFC and has a good equation with president Dana White. The business tycoon was instrumental in enabling the first few UFC events and has attended multiple pay-per-view events.

Paulo Costa also promised to bring controversial former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro to the event and hailed him as the best head of state ever, while questionably including a Mexican flag in the tweet.

"I will make. Sure to bring Jair Messina Bolsonaro the best Brazilian president ever [Mexican flag]"

Paulo Costa weighs in on a potential Khamzat Chimaev vs. Robert Whittaker fight

UFC welterweight Khamzat Chimaev's last fight involved a weight-cutting fiasco that has prompted many fans to suggest that he move up to the middleweight division.

Paulo Costa gave his thoughts on a potential fight between Khamzat Chimaev and Robert Whittaker in an interview on Henry Cejudo's YouTube channel. He stated that the Australian fighter held the edge over 'Borz' and also labeled Chimaev the 'Gourmet Chen Chen'.

He said:

“I’m not sure that fight’s going to happen but… Yeah. Just because Chimaev, The Gourmet Chen Chen, he’s avoided fights, the middleweight fights. Middleweight, top elite fighters. But if it happens, I think Whittaker has an advantage above him.”

Paulo Costa also provided an update on his return to the octagon for the final fight of his current contract. The Brazilian has repeatedly called for a contract upgrade and demanded better pay, even rejecting a six-fight contract offer last year on similar grounds. Costa mentioned that a return to action in April is probable and that he has conveyed the same to the UFC.
