UFC superstar Conor McGregor recently found himself on the receiving end of some backlash for allegedly removing fighters from The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 31 roster and filling the spots with fighters from his team.

The suspected foul play has been widely criticized by the MMA community, with some UFC fighters seemingly confirming the validity of the accusations against the Irishman.

However, up-and-coming UFC lightweight Terrance McKinney believes that Conor McGregor's alleged actions are justifiable. Addressing the controversy on Twitter, McKinney backed 'The Notorious', saying that if he was given the opportunity, he would also try to help his own teammates.

'T-wrecks' tweeted:

"It sucks that fighters were removed on The Ultimate Fighter to make room for others but I’d absolutely do the same for my people so I get it. I’m loyal and I know a team of killers who need a chance."

Interestingly, Conor McGregor has clapped back at those pushing forward the aforementioned narrative. UFC middleweight Chris Curtis was the first to slam the Irishman for his alleged actions, and in a now-deleted tweet, McGregor denied the allegations:

"@Actionman213 not true. I only know 1 guy on this show and he put himself forward for it. And he is now, after today, set to fight the no.1 seed! I didn't ask nor request anything! And I certainly didn't have people removed. I'm just tryna get back in the mix myself so f**k off."

Conor McGregor is currently coaching TUF 31 opposite Michael Chandler, with the duo set to lock horns in the octagon later this year.

Michael Chandler details why his fight against Conor McGregor should take place at the Allegiant Stadium

UFC lightweight Michael Chandler believes that his upcoming fight against megastar Conor McGregor should take place at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, since a McGregor fight is sure to sell out the entire arena.

Speaking on The MMA Hour, 'Iron' said that he might in fact call up the UFC and try to sway them to consider the 65,000 capacity stadium:

"Man, it makes a lot of sense... Conor can fill a stadium. A Conor fight can fill a stadium. Conor's comeback fight against one of the most dangerous and the most exciting guy in the [lightweight] division, we sell the thing out for sure. So I hope so. I might actually call them today and be like, yo boys, let's start working on this Allegiant Stadium man."
