In the realm of mixed martial arts, there is no spectacle comparable to a Conor McGregor fight. The Irishman is undoubtedly the sport's greatest superstar, and rising prospect Sean O'Malley recently expressed that he's longing to witness 'The Notorious' perform under bright lights.

Conor McGregor has single-handedly brought Ireland to the forefront of the UFC. While his highlight reel knockouts and dynamic movement inside the octagon captivated diehard MMA fans, it was his notoriety beyond the octagon that made him arguably the most famous person on the planet.

McGregor spoke in an aggressive and even "arrogant" style when he spoke the truth to power. McGregor's declaration: "If one of us goes to war, we all go to war!" is indicative of his ascent to the top of the sport.

Conor McGregor has been out of action for exactly 535 days to this day as he recovers from a leg injury he sustained in his rubber match against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. Indubitably, his loyal fans miss him.

On a recent episode of TimboSugarShow, Sean O'Malley stated:

"I watched Conor blow up and that's kind of like what I wanted....I wanted to come and take over the sport and then Conor did it. Dude, I miss Conor."

He added:

"That motherf**ker took the sport to a new level. You feel different when he walks out, when it's his press conference, at the weigh-ins....Everything is different."

Sean O'Malley discusses potential opponents for Conor McGregor's return

Conor McGregor has been sidelined from action ever since he suffered a horrific injury in his third fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. The Irishman is eager to return to competition and has targeted a return before the release of his first film as an actor, Road House.

The Irishman is currently out of the USADA testing pool. Before he is permitted to participate in the UFC, McGregor must undergo six months of drug testing and provide at least two negative samples.

McGregor has typically taken pride in the fact that he has many competitive alternatives available to him whenever he chooses to return. Sean O'Malley commented, in reference to the alternatives available on his YouTube channel:

"[Michael] Chandler, [Justin] Gaethje.... I'd f**king watch him fight Islam [Makhachev]... Charles [Oilveira].... any of those guys."

Combat sports fans can count on a spectacle anytime Conor McGregor is considered healthy enough to return to action, regardless of his opponent.
