UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling appears to have reached his limit with regards to gun violence and the laws that enable such violence to take place. The Nashville school shooting that occurred on March 27 has spurred 'Funk Master' to take to Twitter to share his frustrations.

The shooting took place at The Covenant School, a Christian-based primary school in Green Hills, Nashville. According to reports, Audrey Hale entered the school premises at 10:11 a.m. and began to open fire on innocent children and teachers.

Three children and three staff members were killed before the shooter was stopped by police.

Sterling noted that the current legislation that surrounds guns in America means that buying guns is similar to buying groceries from a supermarket.

Aljamain Sterling said:

"You should NOT be able to walk into a gun store, and walk out with a gun, like you’re buying groceries. This concept and way of thinking is tiring. We all know better but the folks in power aren’t doing anything about it. Why??"

The shooter has been identified as transgender, which prompted a radical trans activist group to share a statement regarding the shooting. The group's statement has been met with disgust by many who feel that it attempted to justify the shooter's actions.

Bellator star Michael 'Venom' Page shared his thoughts on the statement made by the Trans Resistance Network and said this:

"Absolute disgraceful apology, better to just have not addressed this issue at all, what was done was horrific and should not be excused, so whoever wrote this can go f**k [THEM]selves"

UFC bantamweight contender reveals why he won't be backup for Aljamain Sterling vs. Henry Cejudo

Aljamain Sterling and Henry Cejudo are set to headline UFC 288 in May for the undisputed bantamweight title. Cejudo will be making his UFC return after close to three years in retirement and will face a tough test in Sterling.

No.2-ranked UFC bantamweight Sean O'Malley recently discussed how his opinion on being the backup fighter for Sterling vs. Cejudo has changed. 'Sugar' initially wanted to be the replacement fighter, but has revealed that training for a fight he might not have is more difficult than he imagined.

During episode #230 of the TimboSugarShow, O'Malley said:

"Going into a camp for 5 x 5 [minute rounds] and planning a fight is hard enough to do knowing you have a fight. But knowing you're probably not gonna fight, I can't train the same way... I was trying, but now I'm at the point like, 'F**k that.' If one of those dorks pulls out we reschedule it."
