UFC welterweight contender Colby Covington has disclosed his aspirations to step into the realm of public service and become a "man of the people" following his retirement from the octagon. He intends to use his popularity and influence to serve the public and make a meaningful impact in people's lives.

Renowned for his exceptional mixed martial arts prowess and unmatched trash-talking abilities, the former welterweight title challenger is now eyeing a potential career in politics. During a recent interaction with Outkick's Mike Gunz, 'Chaos' let out his political plans and stated:

"I wanna stand up for the people and be that voice, you know. I feel like that's my calling after when I'm done fighting and be a public servant, serve the people. I'm not afraid of fighting. That's what I do best with these bare hands, everything I have in my life earned with these bare hands. And now I'm gonna start using this beautiful brain inside my head."

He added:

"It's only a matter of time until I go over the political realm. You know, I wanna be the man of the people. I don't just call myself the people's champ for no reason. I call it because I really mean it. I really wanna do help the people. I wanna see a better world out here."

Colby Covington is an unabashed supporter of former President Donald Trump. He was often seen sporting a 'Make America Great Again' cap and referencing the former Commander-in-Chief in his interviews.

The 170-pounder was a regular attendee of Trump's rallies and even visited the White House multiple times, where he bonded with the former President.

For instance, the Californian native recently made a threat of physical assault against the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, during an interview with OutKick's Mike Gunz. His remarks, which were perceived by many as aggressive and inflammatory, have raised concerns about the fighter's temperament and suitability for public office, 'Chaos' had stated:

"Oh my God! I'd body slam him on his head, and punch him until he couldn't be punched anymore. I don't deal with the communist woke sh*t here in America. I like my freedom."
