UFC flyweight world champion 'Bullet' Valentina Shevchenko is a huge fan of ONE Championship. The Peruvian-Kyrgyz is an MMA fighter with a background in Muay Thai and Kickboxing. Despite of her MMA success, she still loves striking sports.

In an interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Valentina Shevchenko explained her enthusiasm for ONE Championship’s partnership with the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Thailand:

"The CEO of ONE, Chatri Sityodtong, is doing amazing things for the development of martial arts, and now this new step will provide more attention to this incredible, strong, and beautiful martial art."

‘Bullet’ is particularly impressed with ONE working on growing Muay Thai as a sport, which will only be highlighted further by the launch of ONE Lumpinee in 2023. Shevchenko added:

"I think this step is much more important than the inclusion of Thai boxing in the Olympic program. Lumpinee Stadium is an iconic place for Muay Thai fighters. It represents the tradition and spirit of the sport. I would be very happy to attend one of these events in the future."

ONE Lumpinee 1 is booked for January 20, 2023, and will feature Muay Thai great Nong-O Gaiyanghadao looking to defend his crown against Alaverdi Ramazanov. It will be the first of many weekly shows that the promotion is looking to do in the next year and beyond.

Valentina Shevchenko loves the striking sports in ONE Championship

With 'Bullet's extensive background in striking sports herself, it's no wonder she is such a major fan of ONE Championship. Valentina Shevchenko held world titles in both Muay Thai and kickboxing before switching to MMA.

ONE Championship offers the finest Muay Thai and kickboxing in the world. In 2023, Shevchenko will be enjoying ONE's first event ONE on Prime Video 6 on January 13 with ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion Superbon Singha Mawynn set to face a two-time K-1 world champion Chingiz Allazov.

After the last defense of his world title, the Thai-born kickboxing star Superbon declared:

"Power cannot beat me."

Featured in this event will also be a mixed-rules super fight featuring two bonafide stars. Thai superstar Stamp Fairtex will face multiple-time Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion Anissa Meksen in a highly anticipated bout.

Additionally, ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon will be in a kickboxing battle against Spain's Daniel Puertas.

As a fan of the striking arts, it’s no wonder that 'Bullet' Valentina Shevchenko enjoys watching these disciplines showcased in ONE Championship. She, together with millions of fans around the world, will have plenty to cheer for in the next year, especially with ONE’s vision.
