Controversial internet personality Andrew Tate correctly predicted the outcome of Khabib Nurmagomedov versus Conor McGregor when the pair infamously faced off in the octagon at UFC 229.

The bout marked McGregor's return to the octagon following his brief boxing stint when he faced Floyd Mayweather Jr. In his absence, 'The Eagle' became the lightweight champion and dominated all the competition he faced.

Whilst fans of the Irishman fiercely backed their man, a win for 'The Notorious' would have been a major upset. After a heated and personal build-up to the fight, the bout largely went true-to-form as Khabib Nurmagomedov used his wrestling and grappling to dominate McGregor. The Russian fighter eventually locked in a neck crank submission in the fourth round to secure the victory.

Following the conclusion of the fight and the infamous brawl that took place, a video has been doing the rounds on social media of Andrew Tate's reaction. 'Cobra' correctly predicted the result of the fight and listed the reasons he believes Nurmagomedov won:

"You cannot care about p*ssy, you cannot care even about money. Conor McGregor cares about other stuff. He cares about showing off, he cares about being famous... But this Khabib guy. I knew Khabib was going to win. Khabib is a strict muslim...Train, Allah, train, Allah, train, Allah. There's nothing else to his life...That's it. How the f**k you gonna beat that guy?"

Andrew Tate provides update on his mental health from prison

Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan were arrested on December 29 last year. The pair were picked up in a Romanian police probe and have been accused of rape, human trafficking and conspiring to form a criminal group.

The Tate brothers have stated their innocence and regularly claimed that there is a significant lack of evidence for their alleged crimes. Despite this, the Romanian government has continued to keep the pair incarcerated whilst investigating.

Now approaching four months of being inside a jail cell, Andrew Tate's Twitter account recently provided an update on his mental state. According to the former kickboxer, he had already prepared his mind for such a situation:

"When I was flying on private jets, sailing on yachts and driving in sports cars.... Living every man's ideal existence.... I decided that depression wasn't real. I used the good times to prepare myself for the worst which could possibly happen."
"In my jail cell, this decision has proven ultimately useful. You must prepare for the eventual storm when the sun shines. The summer will never last forever....Winter will come. Prepare now. You’ll thank yourself in the future."
