"You can achieve whatever you like" - Smilla Sundell on what she learned from training partner and good friend Stamp

Reigning and undisputed ONE women's strawweight Muay Thai world champion 'The Hurricane' Smilla Sundell of Sweden is a world champion at just 19 years of age, but the teenage striking sensation says there's more to come in her career and that this is just the beginning.

It's a lesson taught to her by her parents, first and foremost, and also training partner and teammate, ONE women's atomweight MMA world champion Stamp Fairtex.

Stamp at just 26 years old, is a three-sport anomaly, winning world titles in kickboxing, Muay Thai, and MMA. Sundell looks up to her Thai contemporary like a role model.

Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Sundell gave credit to both her parents and Stamp for instilling in her a winner's mindset.

'The Hurricane' said:

"I think I learned that you can achieve whatever you like, as long as you put in the work. But I learned that from my parents too. But maybe more practical, in a sense, because Stamp did it in martial arts."

Sundell is now the ONE women's strawweight Muay Thai world champion, but she says there is much more to achieve and is looking at one day in the future going to kickboxing and even mixed martial arts.
