Bye-armageddon has come and gone. So it's time to get back to business with the Week 8 RB waiver wire. The running back position is the one position where someone can literally be on their couch one week and a Top-24 RB the next. This week we've assembled a list of players who can make immediate and long-term impacts on your fantasy roster. So get ready to start your Week 8 by placing a claim in on one of these RBs on your waiver wire.

Week 8 Waiver Wire RBs

#1 Darrell Henderson

Darrell Henderson got 20 touches last week and found his way to the endzone while adding 66 yards. The context to the situation is that Henderson came off the couch last week and joined a team that he played the majority of his career with. Henderson looked decent considering he's been out of football for seven weeks.

Considering last week was a scramble to find the Rams RB for the week, you should still be able to get him in some leagues on the waiver wire. His next matchup is against the Cowboys who have allowed 12.9 points on average to the last four RBs. The Rams have surprised teams this year and have the ability to mix the pass and the run well enough to help Henderson produce. Make sure you look for Henderson on your waiver wire.

#2 Emeri Demercado

A member of our Week 6 waiver wire article busted out of his shell this week after making us look bad only a week prior. Emeri Demercado seems like he's performed the best in the absence of James Conner but I still don't fully trust Arizona to make the right decision.

Demercado has averaged 12.1 ppg when he is the lead back and hopefully after his 17-touch, 75-yard game. We can finally pick him up and trust that he'll be able to produce for us. Fingers crossed that this week he's a viable waiver wire pick up, because he should be there.

#3 Devin Singletary

Devin Singletary should be someone we are looking into this week after his 62-yard performance against the New Orleans Saints. What should grab your attention is his usage, which has gone up from 21.1 % to 54.8% last week. Now this wasn't just a random jump, it was a gradual increase and looks sustainable.

Dameon Pierce might not be losing his RB1 job this week if he continues to be unsuccessful post-bye week. We might see this coaching staff decide to go in a different direction. One last thing to highlight from the Week 6 encounter was their usage of him in the red zone, getting one more touch than Pierce (5:4).

Singletary, much like Demercado is most likely on your waiver wire. Unlike Demercado though if he takes over this backfield it won't be for 4 weeks. It could be for the rest of the season. If you are picking him up off the waiver wire this week then be willing to ride it out for a couple weeks. Let him try and establish himself as the lead guy.

#4 Ezekiel Elliott

There's a slim chance that Ezekiel Elliott is on your waivers. But according to ESPN, Elliott is rostered in only 40% of fantasy leagues, which means you should scour your waiver wire and see if he's available. In the past two weeks, Elliott has scored a touchdown in each game. He also saw an uptick in carries last week with 11 and one in the red zone leading to his touchdown.

Elliott has just looked fresh in his change-of-pace role with the Patriots. I know it's tough to go after an RB who isn't the one. I'll just say this though - Bill Belichick is a creature of habit, and will continue to use the players who are working. So with Elliott looking good in the red zone, it almost guarantees that each week he'll have a chance to score at least once. In fantasy, points are points, get them however you can. If Elliott is on your waiver wire go snag him quickly.
