Has Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes surpassed Aaron Rodgers?

Patrick Mahomes won his second Super Bowl as the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 in Super Bowl LVII last night. The Chiefs were down 24-14 at halftime, but their quarterback inspired them to another comeback win in the Super Bowl.

Mahomes now has the same number of Super Bowl victories as Peyton and Eli Manning. He has now surpassed Aaron Rodgers in terms of Super Bowl wins, despite the fact that the Chiefs quarterback is only 27 years old.

For a long time, Aaron Rodgers was regarded as the most talented player ever, but in just five seasons as a starter for the Chiefs, it appears Mahomes has completely surpassed him in terms of trophies.

Despite the fact that Rodgers has two more regular-season MVP awards than Mahomes, it won't be surprising if the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback reaches the same number of MVP awards in the near future.

Rodgers has frequently underperformed in the playoffs, whereas Mahomes has consistently delivered his A-game. On his path to his second Super Bowl victory, Mahomes didn't throw a single interception in three playoff games, proving he isn't as reckless as some believe him to be.

As an all-time great, Patrick Mahomes is making a strong argument that he's ahead of Aaron Rodgers, but the Chiefs QB needs to sustain this run to not fall some of the other greats.

Mahomes has put up stats like no other in his first five seasons, and if he can keep it up in the long run, even Tom Brady's spot as the GOAT quarterback could be in danger.

With the second Super Bowl win of his career, it would probably be fair to put Mahomes in the category of the top three-five quarterbacks of all time. He is still behind Tom Brady and Joe Montana but is on the right track to eclipse both of them in the future.

Mahomes guided the Chiefs to a Super Bowl victory in what was meant to be a rebuilding year for the franchise. He'll keep chasing Brady's legacy for as long as he plays, but given the way things have gone so far in his career, nothing is impossible for the Chiefs' No. 15.
