Former Arizona Cardinals defensive end J.J. Watt announced his retirement from the NFL this past season and is looking forward to the next chapter of his life with his family.
Watt played in the NFL for 12 seasons and recently revealed that he has never smoked weed in his life. However, now that he is no longer playing football, he is apparently looking forward to it.

Watt discussed his feelings about smoking weed for the first time in his life on "Pardon My Take:"
"Pretty excited, looking forward to it. So, throughout my whole career, I always told guys like yeah after my career someday I'll do it someday do it and every guy is like, 'whenever that day is I will fly there, I will be there, we're doing it together.' So, I gotta like throw like a massive party or something."
Many NFL players do not have the opportunity to consume weed while still playing in the league. But once they retire, they are free to do anything they want and the former Arizona Cardinals star is now one of them.
J.J. Watt had a terrific career and is adored by fans of both the Cardinals and the Houston Texans. He was outstanding on and off the field and will be remembered as an all-time great at his position.
Watt is projected to be a first-ballot Hall of Famer. He will be able to share his Hall of Fame ceremony with Tom Brady, who retired this season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Cardinals will look to select J.J. Watt's replacement in the 2023 NFL draft
The Arizona Cardinals finished the season 4-13 and presently hold the third overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Quarterbacks are widely expected to be taken with the first two overall picks, which might help the Cardinals land a defensive prospect.
Will Anderson and Jalen Carter are both expected to be available when the Cardinals go on the clock, and both guys have very high ceilings. It will be difficult for the Cardinals to replace a player like J.J. Watt, but Anderson and Carter are two of the best defensive prospects in the upcoming draft.
Watt finished the 2022/2023 NFL season with 30 solo tackles, nine assists, 12.5 sacks, and a fumble recovery in 16 games.
