“Aaron Rodgers is not that guy” – NFL analyst underlines difference between Tom Brady and Packers QB calling out teammates

Green Bay Packers v Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady.

Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers are two of the oldest quarterbacks in the NFL. Once Brady signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and started playing in the NFC, they now play each other seemingly every season. But while both are seasoned veterans, there are differences between the two quarterbacks.

On FS1's 'Speak,' co-host Joy Taylor expressed her opinion on what she feels is the main difference. Taylor went on to say that Brady is the greatest of all time because of his work ethic that has gotten him to this point. She said that after being drafted in the sixth round, he had to work hard to earn the starting job and keep it. This is what has led him to win seven Super Bowl titles.

He is also a 'team first' type of NFL player, whereas Rodgers doesn't have any of those qualities. He is a more selfish player who didn't necessarily have to work as hard to get to where he is today:

"The first difference is that man is the greatest to have ever put ten toes down on a football field. He has seven rings to prove it. He's the greatest ever and he became the greatest ever not because he was coddled, not because he was the first-round pick. He was a sixth-round pick who had to put in work and earn the right to be called the 'greatest of all time.'"

She continued:

"The one thing that we all know unequivocally about Tom Brady is that he is extremely dedicated to football. To your point, Michael Jordan quote, he will never ask his teammates to do something that he's not also doing. So, Aaron Rodgers does not have that reputation, not have that resume, is not that guy. He's a guy, he's a dude, he ain't that dude."

This is just the latest criticism of Aaron Rodgers, after he and the Green Bay Packers have now lost five straight games.

Tom Brady said the Buccaneers' effort on gameday is embarassing

On the latest edition of the 'Let's Go! podcast,' quarterback Tom Brady said that the most embarrassing part of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is their effort on game days. The 45 year old said that they need to get on the right page before Thanksgiving because if not by then, it may be too late:

“There’s definitely some things we do well. There’s a lot of things we don’t do well. I think too much of good, bad, good, bad, good, bad, leaves you average. And no one’s trying to be average. If you want to be a great team, you’ve got to be way better than average."

He continued:

"So correcting our mistakes, improving our effort — which, that’s probably the most embarrassing part of our team is our effort level on game day, and that’s something we better fix.”

After a three-game losing streak, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were able to get a win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday afternoon.

However, head coach Todd Bowles disagreed with the quarterback about the team's efforts on the field. Bowles told the media that it wasn't a lack of effort but rather a lack of execution that was their biggest issue.

The Buccaneers are now headed to Munich, Germany, where they will face the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL's first game in the country. This should be an incredible spectacle for fans in Germany and hopefully the two sides can put on a show.
