Following Monday Night's victory over the Dallas Cowboys, the Philadelphia Eagles sit at 6-0 on the season. While the Eagles have every right to boast and celebrate, knowing how to control the locker room at a time like this is key.

Rookie receiver Britain Covey spoke with Sportskeeda in an exclusive interview. He highlighted how the leaders of the Eagles' locker room know how to handle winning and how to control discipline. Here's what he said:

"It's really cool. It's kind of reaffirms my decision to come here. I just wanted to be a part of a winning program and so I'm loving it. When you're around guys who have won enough throughout their career, they know how to handle winning and they know how to make sure the rest of the team handles winning. So no one's gonna have to worry about you know, peaking too early or getting overconfident because the leaders know how to handle a locker room when it when it comes to that stuff."

Covey was elevated and signed to the active roster on October 1st. He has recorded 69 kick return yards on three returns while recording 99 punt return yards, averaging 6.6 yards per return. Covey couldn't believe it when he was elevated to the active roster:

"I was ecstatic, I feel like every step along the way has been so fun for me because I grew up dreaming of college football. The NFL seemed like such a distant dream that I never even let my mind really go there. So this is beyond my dreams and what I thought was possible and every step is just another eye opening experience for me. I'm grateful for every part of it."

The Philadelphia Eagles are off to the best start in franchise history

Dallas Cowboys v Philadelphia Eagles
Dallas Cowboys v Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are the only undefeated team left in football. They have beaten the Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, Washington Commanders, Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Giants, and the Dallas Cowboys.

Philadelphia are currently in first place in a competitive NFC East and are the number-one seed in the conference. The team will take some time off and enjoy their bye in Week 7. They will return after some well-deserved rest in Week 8 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers have been struggling this season, but may be about to turn their campaign around following a victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

With everything currently going to plan, Philadelphia will be careful to avoid losing their momentum going forward.
