Fresh footage from Henry Ruggs’ flaming DUI car crash tells distressing tale - "He needs help ASAP"

A newly-released police video of the Henry Ruggs III car crash incident has revealed a man desperately pleading for help for the former NFL wideout. The unidentified individual made his plea while Tina Tintor's car was burning in the background.

The man can be heard saying:

“I know somebody’s probably in there. But this is Henry Ruggs right here. He plays for the Raiders. He needs help ASAP.”

This unexpected turn of events adds to Ruggs' already troubled situation, even if he is unfamiliar with the person seeking assistance. What is certain is that the former Alabama standout has lost a once-promising NFL career. On May 11, Ruggs appeared in the Clark County District Court, where he pleaded guilty to one count of DUI and one count of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter.

While the judge scheduled his sentencing for August 9, he will be under house arrest. Ruggs will also be required to wear alcohol and location-detecting devices while awaiting judgment.

Henry Ruggs III could be in prison for three to ten years after the judge accepted his plea deal. However, if convicted on multiple charges, he could potentially serve up to 50 years behind bars. Following his guilty plea, though, it's possible that the other charges will be dropped, leaving only the DUI and vehicular manslaughter cases.

The tragic incident involving Ruggs occurred in the early hours of November 2, 2021. Digital evidence revealed that he attempted to stop his Chevrolet Corvette to avoid colliding with Tintor's RAV4. Despite reaching speeds of 156 miles per hour, Ruggs collided with Tintor's vehicle at 120 miles per hour.

While Tintor and her dog tragically perished in the ensuing flames, Ruggs and his girlfriend, Kiara Kilgo-Washington, were taken to the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada. Prior to the incident, Ruggs and Kilgo-Washington had been seen drinking at Topgolf on the Las Vegas Strip.

According to police reports, Ruggs initially refused to take a field sobriety test. However, a blood alcohol test was conducted two hours after the crash, revealing a level of 0.161, more than twice the legal limit in Nevada.

Upon his release from the hospital, authorities booked Ruggs at the Clark County Detention Center. He appeared in court the following day and was subsequently released on a $150,000 bond.

The Las Vegas Raiders selected Henry Ruggs III in the first round (12th overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft. He had 50 receptions for 921 yards and four touchdowns in two seasons with the Raiders. The Alabama native also won a National Championship with the Crimson Tide in 2017.
