"I've never seen a player tell the head coach, calm the f**k down" - Shannon Sharpe shocked at Kyler Murray's outburst at Kliff Kingsbury

Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals picked up a much-needed win in Week 7 over the New Orleans Saints 42-34. However, that wasn't the only takeaway from that matchup. In the second quarter of the Week 7 game, Murray was seen yelling at the head coach, Kliff Kingsbury. At that point in the game, Arizona was down by 14 -6 to New Orleans. Murray yelled before even reaching Kingsbury on the sidelines.

The interaction took many aback, including Shannon Sharpe, who addressed the matter on Undisputed.

Sharpe said:

"It's a big deal. Now, I'm not saying this has never happened. I've said I've never experienced it. I don't know if I've ever seen a player tell the head coach who's calling plays, to calm the f down, calm the f*** down, scream at him. I understand that tensions are high. Everybody's on high alert. Kliff Kingsbury knows he's called you for his job. Kyler Murray knows that something has transpired."

The Hall of Fame tight end added:

"It seemed like a match made in heaven. Yeah. This guy's going to be our number-one pick in the draft. We have a guy that knows the offense, and that play-caller succeeded and failed it. But for whatever reason, the wheels are starting to fray, starting to come off. I think it has a lot to do with losing and expectations when you have the expectations that you have."

Sharpe concluded his point by saying:

"But this young man, you give him this money and the season has not started as they anticipated it. Normally they get off to a fast start and then they wither down the stretch. This year, they've now gotten off to a slow start. And so I just think the changes are really high because everybody knows what the expectations. People are starting to feel the pressure."

In Kingsbury's postgame press conference, he tried to downplay the incident between himself and his quarterback.

The Cardinals head coach stated:

"He said I didn’t look good on TV. Acting that fiery," "Guess it’s a Gen Z thing. ‘You’re on TV so calm down.’ I like showing emotion."

Murray doubled down on what Kingsbury said, adding that everything was fine between the two of them, saying he just wanted his head coach to cool down.

"Calm down. We're good," "We're going to make it right. We ended up scoring so that was good. But, yeah, that's all I was saying. Just chill out. "Doesn't faze me, or I don't think it fazes him. We're just trying to win. In the moment type of thing. After that, we're good."

The franchise quarterback yelling at his head coach worked as the Cardinals picked up their third win of the season.
