“Let it hang!” – Julian Edelman rates Tom Brady’s ‘thirst trap’

Tom Brady has been out of football for little more than a week, but the former quarterback could be drawing more attention than ever. Taking to social media to promote his Brady Brand, the quarterback posted a semi-nude picture of himself. In the photo, he was only wearing his Brady Brand underwear.

No. 12 tagged Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski in the post. Gronkowski responded on Twitter, while Edelman did a full-on review of the post. On TikTok, the former receiver and Tom Brady teammate spent 38 seconds on the image, reviewing everything from the lighting to the bod. Here's how he put it:

"Looks like Tommy Boy is getting in the old thirst trap game. Lighting, I don't know. I mean, it's good. The background is great. Is it a green screen? I don't know. Do you know? What are we covering? I mean, let it hang, bubs! I like the underwear. It's comfortable underwear, so I'll give you that."

He continued, giving the overall image a rating:

"I mean, that's something that's good. Are we sitting down? We just sit down for thirst traps. We need a little shaking, maybe a movement. I need some abs. He looks great for 45. I have to give it to him. If I'm going to him a score, first timer, not bad. Eight out of 10."

Now that the quarterback has retired from football for a second time, many spent the early part of the month wondering what was next for him. Some doubted he would stay away, while others believed he was ready to jump into his ten-year FOX contract in earnest.

Some didn't even rule out the quarterback making an appearance during this weekend's Super Bowl. However, it seems the quarterback won't be jumping into his next career just yet. On the Herd with Colin Cowherd, he revealed that his work with the network will not begin until the 2024 season.

He said that, after such a long and demanding career, he needed some time on his own. Therefore, it appears that the 2023 season will be the first season without Tom Brady since before Y2K.

Of course, for fans holding on to any sliver of hope of seeing the quarterback in action one last time, his move to push the start date of his work in commentating to 2024 keeps the schedule open for one last push.

Even if he doesn't play a full season, a mid-year signing is not impossible. For an example of this one can look at what Cam Newton did with the Carolina Panthers. In the end, however, it seems that No. 12 is officially done.
