After weeks of debate and rumors, Aaron Rodgers confirmed his decision to move on from the Green Bay Packers. Though he has spent years with the team, Rodgers' career has been embroiled in drama. His upcoming move to the New York Jets is no different.

With shots being fired, people have come ahead to criticize Rodgers for the way he has conducted himself. Usually known for his bold statements, Shannon Sharpe did not hold back while referring to Rodgers' decision.

"Typical Aaron Rodgers. Somehow, the Packers wronged him. No, they're just tired of your bs. They're tired of your bulljive. And you retiring, unretiring. And they tired of you trying to have control of their organization".

Sharpe called out the quarterback's indecisive behavior, which kept fluctuating over seasons. When Aaron Rodgers went into the darkness retreat, he was 90% sure of retiring. After coming back, he wanted to play on, especially with the Packers wanting to move on.

"I believe if Aaron Rodgers would have behaved in a manner of professionalism, I believe Aaron Rodgers could've, you know, could have had a Coach K career. 'I'm gonna retire', boom. No problem.
"But the way he's behaved over the last five years. Let's move on. It's time to move on".

Are the New York Jets signing Aaron Rodgers for the 2023 season?

Despite countless reports, Rodgers' deal with the Jets is not yet been confirmed by the team or the NFL. Rodgers, on his end, has made it clear that he wants to play for the Jets at the Pat McAfee show on Wednesday.

"Since Friday I made it clear my intention was to play for the New York Jets and I haven't been holding anything up. It's the compensation that the Packers are trying to get (sorted)."

Rodgers explained how the Packers' decision changed after he wrapped up his darkness retreat.

"When I came out of the darkness, something changed... When I got back to that little shack where there's one bar of wifi, I realized there'd been a little bit of a shift. ... I realized there was some shopping going on."

Considering his troubles with the Packers, this could be a new chapter for the 39-year-old. If he returns to his MVP form, even the Jets could be viable Super Bowl contenders next season.
