“Shut the f**k up, dude” – Pat McAfee blasts NFL Hall of Famer who criticized Colts’ Jeff Saturday hire 

When the Indianapolis Colts made Jeff Saturday their interim head coach for the rest of the season, many questioned owner Jim Irsay's move. One of those critics is former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach, Bill Cowher, who called the move, "a disgrace to the coaching profession."

Pat McAfee sounded off on Cowher's comments, stating that he never deserved to be the coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers when he was 34. McAfee urged him to "shut the f**k up."

“He got hired at 34 in his hometown to be the head coach of the f**king Pittsburgh Steelers. So, if he maybe caught a lot of fire whenever he got hired for not earning and deserving the job that he took and he now wants to project that on Jeff Saturday, he can take that up with himself.

“But Bill Cowher, shut the f**k up, dude. He said why didn’t [Colts senior defensive assistant] John Fox get the job. Why didn’t [Colts defensive coordinator] Gus Bradley get the job? It’s their first year in the building, and, to be honest, the team has stunk since they got there.”

McAfee also fired back at critics who questioned the hire and who are now praising the Colts.

“It was a wild week last week. Everybody was taking shots at a couple of friends of mine in the organization, and they get a f**king win, the other quarterback’s crying at a press conference, I mean this is a lot better than where we had been, so congrats to Jeff, and f**k off to all you parrots on TV.”

While many questioned the move to make Jeff Saturday the interim head coach of the Indianapolis Colts, he delivered this past Sunday in week 10. Under him, the Colts defeated the Las Vegas Raiders 25-20.

It was a bizarre week for the Colts as they fired head coach Frank Reich and replaced him with a Colts legend in Saturday. The latter has only had head coaching experience at a Georgia high school.

Saturday played with the Colts from 1999-2011 and was a member of the Super Bowl XLI-winning team.

He will coach Indianapolis for their remaining seven games of the season with the chance to take over as head coach following the end of the season. Next up for Saturday and the Colts, the 8-1 Philadelphia Eagles.
