Rob Gronkowski admits he could definitely make life easier for struggling Tom Brady and Buccaneers - "I could definitely help out"

Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers could do with Rob Gronkowski coming back into the fold. They look on their way to the playoffs despite having a losing 6-7 record because of how woeful the rest of the teams in the NFC South are. And if/when they make it to the playoffs, they could use Gronk's connection with Brady to take them all the way.

Rob Gronkowski himself admitted that he could definitely contribute to their success on the field, saying,

"It's definitely a thought in my head. I mean, I definitely feel like I could definitely help out."

However, if any Buccaneers fan is getting excited that Gronk will come down and rescue the team, they are sorely mistaken. Instead, it seems the former tight end would prefer that his former teammate joins him on the sidelines instead.

Rob Gronkowski wants Tom Brady to join broadcasting

Rob Gronkowski wants Tom Brady to join as a commentator as he works as an analyst. He believes with his encyclopedic knowledge of the game, Brady will add value to that position. Gronk said,

“That would be a great team to have him here at Fox. You know, he’s a commentator, I’m an analyst. We’re going back and forth a little bit to each each other. That would be a lot of fun. He’d be talking his football knowledge."

As per reports, Fox certainly agrees as they have an offer on the table for Tom Brady worth $375 million. Rob Gronkowski certainly believes his former colleague with the Buccaneers is certainly worth it. He continued,

“He’s got incredible football knowledge, and it’s just gonna be wonderful once he gets to the Fox studio and he’s able to share it. I mean, I’ve been spending so many meetings with him where he can just break down the game of football just like that."

Rob Gronkowski also explained how good Tom Brady is at breaking down defenses.

"And I just feel prepared, ready for the game in just 30 minutes, because I know everyone on the defense and how they’re gonna play, because he can just break it down that easily to myself and to our teammates whenever we’re in a meeting. And so it’s just gonna be great to hear his knowledge, to hear his perspective on the game of football.”

Unfortunately, for Buccaneers fans, it seems that Gronk will not be assisting Brady in breaking down defenses on the field this season. He would rather wait for him in the booth. For the Tampa fans to have a glimmer of hope, they would have to find another way that works in the postseason.
