Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were dealt another setback in their quest to capture the NFC South. They blew a 17-3 lead against the Cincinnati Bengals and lost the game 23-34.

Brady struggled in the second half, with the Buccaneers being outscored 31-6. They are presently 6-8 after Week 15 and things aren't looking good.

The Buccaneers will face the Arizona Cardinals next week and due to the absence of Kyler Murray, the Bucs will be the favorites.

Brady and the Bucs started the game well against the Bengals, but slowly faded away in the second half. The Bucs QB was extremely disappointed by how the team played. Here's what Brady said after the disappointing loss to the Cincinnati Bengals:

"We played good. I mean, I think we have the ability to play good. I don't think that's I don't think we lack confidence in playing good. It's just consistency and to good quarters. And when you have any football games, and five turnovers doesn't win any football games."

Brady added:

"Just work hard, you know, just work hard. So we've got a huge game coming up. So I know keep saying it. But it's a reality and gotta go make it better."

He continued:

"You know, they're always games are individual games, and today was five turnovers and you can't win football games with five turnovers."

The Bucs have shown flashes of brilliance in several games but have yet to put together a comprehensive 60-minute performance. This would have been an easy win for them if they had performed effectively in the second half.

If the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are to rescue their season, Tom Brady will need to lead from the front and set an example for the rest of his colleagues.

Due to the fact that other NFC South teams also lost in Week 15, the Buccaneers are still in first place in the NFC South. Brady and the Bucs also have a great chance of redeeming themselves in the remaining fixtures.

They play the struggling Arizona Cardinals next week, and if they win, it will give them enough confidence to finish the season on a high note. The Bucs then have the Carolina Panthers and the Atlanta Falcons, two NFC South competitors. Tampa Bay can win these games and realistically should make it to the postseason.

Tom Brady and the Buccaneers are capable of causing problems for any team in the playoffs, and we can't count them out just yet.
