Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry is one of the best on and off the field. He's helped the Tennessee community multiple times and in 2021, he showed true character by helping out a firefighter in need.

Nashville firefighter Jeremy Taylor had his house in White Bluff destroyed after a home fire. Taylor, his wife, and four daughters were not present during the time of the fire, but they had just recently moved into their new home.

Henry heard about the news and sent Taylor and his family a $15,000 check from his foundation, Two All, and a contribution from Campbell’s Chunky Soup.

Henry stated that he just wanted to help out a community man after the city had been dealing with many issues.

Henry said:

“I saw the tweet and I was just touched by it, losing a home is such a tragic occurrence. Not only did I see the tweet, but I saw that he was a Titans fan and also a first responder. Nashville has been through so much as a community – the tornado, the pandemic going on, and then the Christmas bombing. I just wanted to be able to help someone in need and someone who has been helping everyone else throughout this pandemic."

Henry added:

“I was just touched by what I had seen about Jeremy and his family on Twitter and just wanted to do anything I could to help them. Just touched by his family and wanted to help Jeremy in his own time of need.”

Titans cheerleaders were present as they handed the check to Taylor along with a signed Derrick Henry jersey. Taylor responded to the news and said that it was a blessing for his family.

Taylor told Titans Online:

"I am blessed, very blessed. (This) has definitely been a blessing to my family. I am very overwhelmed. I don't know what to say."
