"When tf they gonna be done with 12?" - Lil Wayne believes it's high-time Packers cut Aaron Rodgers

The Green Bay Packers' 2022 NFL season came to an unceremonious end after they ended up losing their final regular season game to the Detroit Lions. The Packers needed to get the better of their division rivals if they were to qualify for the postseason, but it was Dan Campbell's men who emerged victorious in a nail-biting 20-16 win.

The win saw the Lions finish above their division rivals for the first time since 2017. While the Lions were knocked out of playoff contention before kickoff, Green Bay went in hoping to clinch the seventh seed from the NFC. When it mattered most, the Packers faithful pinned their hopes on reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers. But the quarterback failed to deliver as Green Bay fell out of contention.

It was his failure that brought upon him the ire of a cheesehead in particular. That person is none other than Grammy award-winning rapper Lil Wayne. The rapper vented his rage on Twitter, urging the Packers' front office to release the long-serving superstar.

Referring to Rodgers as 12, Lil Wayne echoed his previous thoughts regarding the QB and how the team should cut ties with him once and for all. And in what might be good news for him, his wish just might come true.

Aaron Rodgers hints at leaving Packers following disappointing Lions loss

Aaron Rodgers might have just played his last ever NFL game last night. Rodgers has flirted with the idea of retiring multiple times in the past, and following his comments post the Lions loss, speculation is only piling up. Rodgers said:

“Money is energy, and I have made a ton of it and I’m very thankful for this organization, the generational wealth that they’ve offered me.”

Even more, speculation was stirred up when Lions rookie wide receiver Jameson Williams asked Rodgers for a jersey swap at the end of the game, and Rodgers responded by saying he'd rather keep hold of it.

The Green Bay QB signed an extension last offseason but could still decide to retire if rumors are to be believed. Speculation will only continue to rise as we approach the offseason following the conclusion of the season after Super Bowl LVII.
