The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may be dreaming of Rob Gronkowski teaming up with Tom Brady again. It seems the former tight end is thinking about the same thing, just not in the way you think.

Rob Gronkowski was effusive about Tom Brady's game intelligence and cannot wait for him to join the sidelines as a commentator. The Fox analyst believes that his deep knowledge of the game makes him an ideal candidate for the job. In a recent USA TODAY Sports interview with Mackenzie Salmon, Gronkowski said,

“That would be a great team to have him here at Fox. You know, he’s a commentator; I’m an analyst. We’re going back and forth a little bit to each other. That would be a lot of fun.”

That is definitely a possibility because neither Tom Brady nor the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have played this season. He might think of retiring this offseason having retired last season for a brief amount of time as well. He reportedly already has a $375 million deal to join Fox. It is certainly something that could come true, according to Rob Gronkowski.

“He’s definitely, you know, he’s a free agent. He can weigh out every option, whatever team he wants to play for, or if he wants to go in that booth and come join me, and we can be, you know, the tag team champions in the world.” - Gronkowski continued.

Gronk waxed lyrically about Brady's football knowledge and how he would be a great addition to the team because of his experience.

“He’s got incredible football knowledge, and it’s just gonna be wonderful once he gets to the Fox studio and he’s able to share it. I mean, I’ve been spending so many meetings with him where he can just break down the game of football just like that."

The tight end also added that he would feel more comfortable as an analyst because the quarterback would be able to share his in-depth knowledge and help him prepare.

"And I just feel prepared, ready for the game in just 30 minutes, because I know everyone on the defense and how they’re gonna play, because he can just break it down that easily to myself and to our teammates whenever we’re in a meeting. And so it’s just gonna be great to hear his knowledge, to hear his perspective on the game of football."

Rob Gronkowski does not close the door fully to a reunion with Tom Brady on the field

Having said that, Rob Gronkowski still left a small window open that he could rejoin Tom Brady on the field.

He did say that he could help his colleague on the field.

"It's definitely a thought in my head. I mean, I definitely feel like I could definitely help out."

Whether that turns out or not, it is something the Tampa fans would definitely be hoping for.
