Tom Brady has gone through some ups and downs in his 23rd season in the NFL, both on and off the field. Off the field, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers star divorced his wife of 13 years, supermodel Gisele Bundchen, back in October. The Buccaneers have struggled on the field this season despite having Super Bowl aspirations. The 45-year-old will be a free agent after this season and questions have been swirling as to whether he'll stay with Tampa Bay.
Michael Lombardi, a former colleague of Brady's while with the New England Patriots, recently commented on the quarterback's status. Lombardi was asked whether this season was Brady's last with the Buccaneers. Here's what he said on VSIN:
“I would say, without a doubt, that’s pretty accurate.”

Brady signed with the Buccaneers in March 2020 after spending two decades with the Patriots. The three-time NFL MVP led the Buccaneers to their second Super Bowl win in franchise history in his first season with the team. Last season, the 15-time Pro Bowler led the NFL in both passing yards (5,316) and touchdowns (43).
So far this season, Tom Brady is fifth in the league in passing yards (3,585) to go with his 17 touchdowns and five interceptions. He also made history back in Week 9 as the first player in NFL history to throw for 100K passing yards in a career. However, the question remains as to where the greatest quarterback in NFL history will land after this season.
Where will Tom Brady land in 2023?
For Tom Brady, there are simply two options: retire and head over to FOX or suit up for another season. The seven-time Super Bowl winner has a deal at FOX waiting for him whenever he decides to retire. Yet, should Brady decide he has at least another season in him, there will be options for him.
One place would be to play for the team he grew up watching as a kid, the San Francisco 49ers. It would be fitting to see the quarterback try to lead the 49ers to a Super Bowl, like his idol Joe Montana did in the 1980s. Another option would be to go back to where it all started with the New England Patriots.
Here, it would take head coach Bill Belichick essentially signing off on a possible reunion. Seeing the greatest head coach and quarterback duo of all time for at least one season would be great to watch. We will see what Tom Brady does after the season concludes.
