Lamar Jackson's status ahead of the Baltimore Ravens' first playoff game of the ongoing NFL season against Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals is still up in the air.

Jackson has missed the Ravens' last five games with a PCL strain. According to Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh, there are no guarantees he'll recover in time for the playoffs.

When Harbaugh was asked about the former NFL MVP's status during his media availability on Tuesday, he replied:

"I don’t really have an update right now to share with you. We’ll have our injury report out on Wednesday because I won’t have a chance to talk to you between now and then. That’s kind of where we’re at."

After Jackson suffered the injury against the Denver Broncos in Week 12, the initial prognosis suggested that the quarterback would miss 1-3 weeks of action. But soon after, Jackson's recovery timeline was updated to 4-6 weeks.

Who will be Ravens' starting quarterback against Bengals in Lamar Jackson's absence?

If Lamar Jackson doesn't recover in time for the Ravens' game against the Bengals, backup quarterback Tyler Huntley will likely continue to play under center. Huntley came into the game against the Denver Broncos after Jackson's exit and led the Ravens' to a 10-9 win.

He has started Baltimore's last four games and has a 2-2 record as a starter this season. Huntley has attempted only 112 passes this season but has a good completion rate of 65.6%. He has recorded 658 passing yards and two passing touchdowns with three interceptions in his five appearances this season.

Huntley is not as effective as Jackson when rushing with the ball in his hands, but has done a serviceable job. He has recorded 137 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown this season.

The Baltimore Ravens will be hoping that Lamar Jackson can recover and play against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday night. However, if the superstar is a no-go for the game in Cincinnati, Huntley will likely make his first career playoff start.
