Wesley Blake

Cory James Weston is an American professional wrestler working on independent circuits. He is best known for his time as Wesley Blake with WWE. He is a former NXT Tag Team Champion and a member of The Forgotten Sons.

Professional Wrestling Career

Early Years (2011-2013)

Weston wanted to become a wrestler since he was 3 years old. He joined Funking Conservatory to learn how to wrestle. After two years of wrestling, WWE signed him.

WWE

NXT (2013-2016)

In 2013, he signed with WWE and started working for the developmental brand. Weston continued to perform as a jobber before he formed a team with Buddy Murphy. In 2014, Weston formed a tag team and spent most of his time in tag matches.

Alexa Bliss performed the role of manager for the team. In 2015, Blake and Murphy became the number one contender for the tag team titles. On NXT, they defeated The Lucha Dragons to win the NXT Tag Team Championship. The reign ended after 219 days by The Vaudevillians.

The Forgotten Sons and Departure (2017-2021)

After losing the titles and Bliss being drafted to the main roster, the team disbanded. He lost most of his matches and returned to being a jobber. In 2017, Weston joined the stable, The Forgotten Sons. The team entered the Dusty Rhodes Classic in 2018 and 2019, which they lost.

In 2020, the stable was moved to SmackDown. The team defeated SmackDown Tag Team Champions, The New Day. However, they were taken off television due to Jakson Ryker tweeting his support for Donald Trump.

In December, Weston and Cuttler returned as The Knights of the Lone Wolf and assisted Baron Corbin. The storyline ended in 2021 and Weston was released from the company.

Independent Circuit (2021-Present)

At Final Battle, Scherr, Westin Blake, and EC3 created a stable called Control Your Narrative.
