Tapu Fini is Pokemon GO's current Five-Star Raid Boss. With so many players looking to challenge the guardian deity from the Alola region, there are bound to be a few who try to go above and beyond for the sake of fleshing out their collection. To meet their needs, some of these trainers will be looking for a shiny Pocket Monster.

Shiny variants have been a part of the Pokemon franchise since the second generation. Ever since their introduction, players around the globe have been hunting them down relentlessly. These rare types of creatures are easily recognized by their altered color pallets.

Niantic is very picky when it comes to the shiny variants they allow to appear on Pokemon GO's live servers. So, can players get lucky and encounter this rare version of Tapu Fini in the mobile game, or will they need to wait?

It has been confirmed that players will be able to find Shiny Tapu Fini in Pokemon GO if they are fortunate enough to do so.

The hardest part of shiny hunting is finding the creature. Though there are a few ways to make this easier in the mobile game, the circumstances in which Tapu Fini can be encountered make finding its shiny form much more grind-heavy.

Since the only way players can get the chance to encounter a wild Tapu Fini is through Raid Battles, they will need to grind these fights. Since Five-Star Raid Battles are some of the hardest in the mobile game, trainers will need to first be able to take down just one Tapu Fini Raid Boss without much help from others.

Players will also need to secure a constant source of Raid Passes. This has become much harder to do following the recent changes to the item doubling their retail price. However, there are still a dedicated few who are willing to pay the price and stockpile the three free passes that players can earn from spinning a photo disk at a gym.

Players will need to make sure they have access to a stockpile of healing items. Since creatures that participate in Raid Battles in Pokemon GO are guaranteed to take damage, trainers will need to heal up their parties at some point. As such, it would be beneficial to grind Pokestops or to purchase healing items from the in-app shop before starting a hunt.

Considering that players first need to beat Tapu Fini before they even get the chance to catch it, they will need to know how to counter it. Since Tapu Fini is a Water and Fairy-type creature, its biggest weaknesses are Grass, Poison, and Electric-type attacks. This means the likes of Kartana and Mega Gengar are great choices to use against it.
