Tyson Fury wants to take on UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou somewhere down the line. Fury is currently set to take on Dillian Whyte, his mandatory challenger for the WBC Heavyweight belt. However, before the Whyte fight could be made, rumors of a potential fight between Fury and 'The Predator' were rampant.

In an interview with Chris Mannix for The Volume, Tyson Fury revealed why he wanted to make the Ngannou fight happen somewhere down the line:

"It's a big fight, big crossover fight between MMA and boxing. He's a champion, I'm a champion, I think it's an epic battle. I think a lot of people will be interested and want to watch that fight. The fight would be in Las Vegas at the Raiders stadium, that's be an amazing event to end the career. It'd be absolutely fantastic, it'd be the icing on the cake of a very successful, long, boxing career."

Heading into his fight with 'The Body Snatcher', Fury has been contemplating retirement and has spoken about it several times. Fury was initially looking to take on Anthony Joshua in a highly awaited battle. However, those plans fell apart as Joshua lost the other heavyweight titles to Oleksandr Usyk.

Now, Joshua himself has to wait for Oleksandr Usyk to return from Ukraine for a title rematch. This means that even after the Dillian Whyte fight, Fury will have to wait a while to get a shot at Joshua.

Ngannou, on his part, is expected to undergo knee surgery on March 18, as reported by Brett Okamoto. The heavyweight champion should be out for nine months, and it is to be seen if his next fight is in the UFC or in a boxing ring.

In an interview with IFL TV, he shared a hilarious reaction to the Fury vs. Whyte event selling out Wembley Stadium in a matter of hours:

"Yeah mate, I was f***ing sitting there all night, I couldn't sleep, I thought what's going on here? Another heavyweight headline? I don't care like, I didn't lose a blink of sleep over someone else. I'm proud of them, it's nice bruv, do you know what I'm saying? Especially Tyson's dad, he's buzzing innit."
