Although he lacked the goods on the microphone, Reigns was likeable. Instead of slowly developing him into a top star using all these traits, Vince McMahon pushed Reigns too early.Reigns ended up attracting heat from the fans and just like that, he was made into a scapegoat. The WWE Universe is currently split when it comes to the matter of Reigns being the top face of the top promotion, but Vince is hell bound on making him the next big thing in the business.This clash of ideas is not going to be a great thing and here is a look at certain things that could change the view of fans about the Samoan Superman.

#5 A Samoan faction

Reigns got introduced into the WWE main roster through a faction. Being part of the Shield helped him hide his shortcomings and this in turn gave him time to improve without attracting criticism from the fans.

Roman is still pretty much in the learning phase and letting him be in a faction will clearly help him. There are different ways in which WWE could play out this potential storyline. But the most sensible one would be a Samoan Faction involving the family members of Reigns.

He has a very impressive family tree and if WWE could line up some names to work under the leadership of Reigns, the faction is surely going to be a hit among the fans.

The biggest problem that Reigns faces at the moment is his microphone skills. He is not the best talker in the business and it was the same situation with Brock Lesnar. WWE saved Lesnar by making him a Heyman guy and they should think about doing the same with Reigns.

Heyman’s promos have the power to manipulate fans and this is what Reigns needs at this point. Reigns is destined to struggle in the main event scene without talking and if it cannot be Heyman, then another manager too could help Roman improve his standing with the WWE Universe.

#3 Let Reigns be in the midcard for sometime

There have been numerous comparisons between John Cena and Roman Reigns. Some claim that Reigns is the next John Cena and to an extent Vince McMahon feels the same.

However, if we look back at the career graph of Cena and Reigns, they are at contrasting poles. Cena started out as a jobber, fought his way through into the mid card, became a mid card champion, and then found his way into the main event.

Whereas Reigns was directly thrusted into the main event scene once Shield broke up. The fans didn’t get to see the struggle and it was clearly a reason why they hate him now. So just like they did it with Cena, WWE could let Reigns hold either the US or the Intercontinental Championship for some time before letting him go after the WWE Championship.

#2 Turn him heel

The WWE fans currently love to hate him so why not make him a heel? He is struggling to get the fans behind him as a baby face, but it will be a different scenario when he is a heel.

He will not have to speak much when he is the bad guy and also, the range of possible opponents will be on the rise. If some extra heat is needed, he could turn on Dean Ambrose and kick start his heel career.

Else, Reigns can be the new muscle power of the Authority and pave a path for a face turn from Seth Rollins. No matter how it plays out, the heel turn will give the fans some interesting storylines.

Back at Royal Rumble, WWE made a big mistake of bringing out Rock in hopes of getting some cheers for Reigns. This plan backfired and the fans saw Reigns as a crybaby who needed his cousin to save the day. So what is the best way to drop this image?

Reigns beating Rock in a clean match is the way to go. Reigns can turn heel and spark a feud with Rock ahead of WrestleMania and Reigns could go on to defeat Rock cleanly. The win will clearly earn him some respect and he will be able to build his own image instead of being in the shadow of his legendary cousin.
