2015 began on a controversial note for the WWE, much acknowledged by them, as #CancelWWENetwork trended worldwide after the Royal Rumble PPV concluded. Roman Reigns was the Chosen One by the management, not all fans agreed with that notion and the boos haven't died ever since. But it is not similar to how 2014 was for Batista. Reigns is still the one and only one facing the one in 21 and 1. And there are a few reasons why this feud is still surviving. There are many things at work to make the main event of Wrestlemania nothing less than what it boasts of – a grand event. Here are the five important elements making this feud work.

#1 Paul Heyman

The most important, prime ingredient, in making this feud work is the mastery of Paul Heyman on the microphone. Heyman has that lethal combination of being an orator on the microphone and possessing the immense knowledge about the wrestling business. Paul Heyman may have said the same things over and over again but they always capture one’s attention.

He’s has been putting Reigns over only to tear him apart. Lesnar’s beaten Triple H, Undertaker, John Cena and The Rock. And Heyman logically questions- How does Reigns even come into comparison.

Heyman bringing the illustrious history of Reigns family is a good trope to look down upon Reigns. To make him look like nothing compared to that rich history. This may be key to get some sympathy for Reigns.

#2 Seth Rollins

Rollins holding the Money In The Bank briefcase may come as a relief to most hardcore fans who have become reigns’ biggest detractors. As Wrestlemania inches forward, so does the completion of a year wherein Rollins won the briefcase. The cash-in is coming closer and closer. There is no guarantee that Rollins is going to win after cashing in, but hope still lives on.

The main event picture has more depth than one can imagine. Lesnar may be on his way out, Reigns is going to have his crowning moment and Rollins is on the prowl to take all of that glory away from Reigns.

This alone makes the main event of Wrestlemania worth paying attention to.

#3 Brock vs Vince

These two parties are still at odds, reportedly. these backstage negotiations have already made its way in its basic form to the main event storyline. Lesnar may be on his way out to the UFC.

As reports of his departure have already been making the rounds and since he has already left WWE once before in 2004, this may come as a bitter pill but the audience may be prepared better for his exit.

So, playing out this angle where Lesnar is portrayed as a businessman first and a wrestler or fighter later is maybe trying to touch this emotional chord of not having enough passion for the wrestling business and so on and so forth.

The show must go on.

#4 A new face

Roman Reigns is not Batista, he’s not John Cena. He may be getting the divided reactions like Cena gets on a regular basis but he is not John Cena precisely because he’s been on the main roster for just a little more than 2 years. he is still relatively new.

His coronation at Wrestlemania may give rise to more competition coming from the younger brigade. Rollins, Dean Ambrose are just some of the names that will have the best chance to place a challenge, since there is already a good storyline between them.

And Reigns has been improving his ring work. And doing spots that guarantee positive reactions.

#5 Separate paths

Till date, Lesnar and Reigns have only come face to face once and that was the Blizzard episode of Raw following Royal Rumble. It was an intense segment. Simple yet significant.

Since then they havent crossed paths at all. Heyman, ofcourse, has been doing the talking but there is a distance that has been maintained between Reigns and Lesnar. And that is working well.

Reigns is having his own jorney trying to get better at his game and facing criticisms from all corners. Lesnar is just posing a dominating picture and his journey accounts of having differences with someone in the position of authority backstage.

When these separate paths culminate, itll be something worth watching.
